"I have given you the appropriate time to mourn. I have even forgiven the months you have been absent from your post... Just this once".

I was with the Allfather, at a private meeting.

"Next time, your replacement won't be just a substitute, but a permanent one. You have the luck that right now you are the most capable and skilled".

I knew Odin didn't want to admit that he needed me, but he knew that if I was gone it would take them over a decade to train anyone to get even close to what I am now.

"Officially, your title as Head Healer has been restored to you. On top of it, I will be giving you the title of Co-Head Mage". He announced.

"Co-Head? Who will I share my spot with?". I ask.

"My son Loki. He asked to work on this for a while. He wishes to restore the mage guild, which right now is composed of only you two".

I bow and take my leave. As I close the door of the meeting room, I already know where I have to go. I have to tie up another loose end. As such, I have to go find Thor.

I had searched at his private quarters, at the training grounds, even in the stables and banquet hall. Not even the warriors three or Sif knew where he had gone. I thought hard on where he could be. Then an idea came to my mind. There was one spot...

I traveled all the way outside of the Asgardian town area, and entered the forest. The place I was going to was where Thor had taken me long before all the madness started. It was during the month before Frey was supposed to come to Asgard, before we had even shared our first kiss.

"Where are you taking me?".

"It's a secret". He said with a child-like grin.

Thor was holding my hand and running quickly to the top of a mountain, dodging every tree effortlessly. While I could barely keep up.

Soon enough we were on the very top.

"Just a little further".

He had taken me to the edge of a cliff. As I look down, I could see the whole of Asgard below us.

"It's beautiful...". I exclaimed in awe.

"This way, my lady".

He took me along the cliff, until we reached a waterfall. And not far from it was a blanket on the grass, and a bottle of wine.

"Quite the romantic has appeared in my life". I tease.

"All for a lady that well deserves it".

I blushed and sat down when he offered me to sit.

That evening we watched the sunset, we watched a meteor shower and we talked about many, many different things.

I was now nearing the place we had our "first date". In the distance I could see his figure looking down onto the whole of Asgard. He looked almost like a statue, as the sun shone on his figure.

"Thor...".

"I knew you would find me, sooner or later". His voice had a hint of sadness.

"I am sorry I have made you wait so long. But I also thank you for waiting for me patiently through this hard time". I calmly say.

"I know you needed the time to mourn. But also, I was scared of the arrival of this moment. All this months that you had been gone, I had so many chances to think everything over. I, many times, convinced myself that it had all been in my imagination. Yet your absence always brought me back to reality. I have just one question. Have all of our moments together meant nothing to you?". He opened up.
