Author's Note: This is the final chapter. Every single event of this story all culminates onto this one finale: All of the main characters' development, relationships, and aspirations that have been built since the very beginning all end up here.

If, for some reason, you're skipping to the final chapter, I strongly advise you to read everything beforehand!

There are massive, MASSIVE spoilers about the entire plot of this story in here. You won't enjoy a story flipping to a random page and starting from there; every character arc I've written thus far is full of love, thought and care — skipping all of that merely ruins everything that the characters have experienced, and everything I've written.

That is all. Thank you for being with me ever since I started this story. I never planned the plot to become this dark or intricate; this was only going to be some generic, fluff-romance fanfiction, but it evolved into the events you've read up until this point.

With that, I hope you enjoy the conclusion of TodoMomo: After the Rainfall

After the Rainfall: Episode 30

"After the Rainfall"

A mother's love cannot ever be replaced.

Once a person is born into this world, the first form of love they will ever feel is a mother's.

We are all held in her loving arms while we continue sobbing as we are born.

It's true - one of the most fulfilling jobs is that of a parent.

Watching your baby grow up.

Watching them grow up into a fine adult.

Seeing them live their life in happiness.

However...

Loss is a real circumstance that everyone is forced to bear.

Whether we like it or not, loss is merely a part of life.

No parent should be forced to bury their child.

And no child should ever bury their parent.

But, unfortunately, this is just how the world revolves.

Our lives are short.

Our lives are a mere infinitesimal thread in the fabric of the history of the universe.

We are forced to watch every, meaningful relationship we have get destroyed over time.

We are forced to watch all of our memories, our legacies fade away into dust.

We are forced to see the impending future wherein we have no say in changing.

We are forced upon this endless cycle of loss.

We don't play games with The Reaper.

We just walk away.

Whether we like it or not, tragedy is a real concept.

There is no such thing as "immortality."

Every concept, object, item in this finite universe...

Its clock is ticking.

We can only watch as everything fades away.

And this includes everything we hold dear.

Everything we've ever touched, or ever loved, or ever gave a thought about.
