"Phase Three"

Momo and Shoto are now left with one another. Momo looks up into Shoto's eyes causing him to shyly glance away. Seeing this, Momo takes a deep breath, and attempts to put on a genuine smile on her face.

Momo: Merry Christmas, Shoto.

Shoto: Y-You too, Yaoyorozu.

...

Without the sounds of busy partying amongst the students, there would be a complete awkward silence ensuing amidst the two.

Shoto: May I have a seat?

Momo: Of... course you can.

Shoto awkwardly takes a seat beside Momo, causing the two of them to stare off in different directions. From afar, Kyoka signals Eijiro to go through with the plan.

Eijiro: Phase one is a go... let's do it, Mineta!

Minoru: Right behind ya, Kirishima!

The uncomfortable silence is broken as Eijiro and Minoru approach Momo and Shoto, wearing bartender outfits.

Eijiro: Hello, and welcome! We'll get you guys started off with some drinks.

Minoru hands Eijiro a serving platter with an assortment of drinks atop it.

Eijiro: Here we have a strawberry smoothie with vanilla ice cream on top for Todoroki. Doesn't it look like your hair, dude?

Shoto takes the half-red/half-white smoothie and observes the similarities of its color to his own hair.

Shoto: I guess it does.

Minoru: And for the lady, a grape milkshake with extra cream, and I made sure to put a lot of cream. *Wink*

Momo: Th-Thank... you...?

Minoru: *Whisper* But actually, I sneaked in a little something inside of it with some help from Bakugo.

Minoru points to the kitchen and Momo sees Kyoka and Katsuki staring at them as well, holding a bottle of grape wine.

Momo: Y-You added-?

Minoru: Go wild tonight, Yaoyorozu. I'm countin' on you to fix that Todoroki!

Eijiro: AHEM! Mineta, let's go! I think we still have a few more orders.

Minrou: Ah right, Kirishima! You can call us anytime if you need anything else.

The two bartenders quickly walk away. Knowing that the conversation hasn't even started yet, Momo decides to be the first one to speak up.

Momo: *Cough* Anyways, I think it's finally time for me to break the ice...

Shoto: Ah, really? Well, when you're done with that, I can use my quirk to make you some more ice if you need it.

Momo: A-Ah no, I meant-... *Blush* You're so silly...

Shoto: Haha — It was just a joke. I'm not *that* dense.

Momo softly giggles while playing with her hair.

Shoto: Was it... not funny?

Momo: No, no, I get the joke — it's just-

Momo doesn't complete her sentence, and the vexatious silence returns. Seeing this, Katsuki looks over to Shoto and makes convoluted signals with his hands.

Shoto: Ah, time for phase two.

Momo: What was that?

Shoto: N-Nothing! I just... wanted to give you my christmas present that I picked out.

Momo: Y-You got me a present?

Shoto: Of course I did. — Here.

Shoto reaches into his back pocket to reveal a small box that he carefully wrapped. He diffidently hands it to Momo, and she carefully tears the christmas wrapping.

Momo reveals a glimmering heart locket coming from the present.

Momo: Sh-Shoto...

Shoto: That's... real gold by the way. I wanted to buy something special for you.

Momo: Shoto, you shouldn't have... I'd imagine something as beautiful as this would cost a fortunte.

Shoto: I don't care. You're the most precious thing in the world to me, and I want nothing but the best for you.

Momo: B-But, you didn't have to spend all this money just for me...

Shoto looks down in dejection.

Shoto: I see how it is... You would accept gifts from Awase, but not from me...

Momo: No, no, no, that's not what I meant at all!

From afar, the girls are listening in on Momo and Shoto's conversation using Kyoka's earphone jacks.

Kyoka: Damn, this conversation is taking a turn for the worse.

Mina: ...Initiate phase three...

Suddenly, everyone looks towards Mina in surprise.

Tsuyu: Phase three? I thought we scrapped phase three! Phase two was supposed to work by itself.

Mina: Got any better ideas, Tsu?

Tsuyu: It's too risky, we might ruin their relationship even more...!

Kyoka: I'm... going to have to side with Mina here.

Toru: Kyoka, are you serious? We haven't even practiced phase three all that much, and if Yao-momo and Todoroki catch on to what we're doing, then we're screwed!

Mina: What do you think, Ochaco? The votes are two-for-two. You need to decide right now.

Ochaco takes a deep inhale, and takes a stand.

Ochaco: Let's do it...

Mina: Heh, I knew I could count on you, girl.

Tsuyu: Ochaco, are you sure? You're going to be the most at risk.

Ochaco: Well, whenever I look at Todoroki and Yao-momo, I get reminded of Deku and I. I wouldn't want Momo to lose out on a chance with the boy he really likes because I know how much it hurts to hide your feelings for someone.

(Provisional License Exam)

Ochaco looks towards Deku, who is holding an injured "Help Us Company" worker for the Provisional License Exam.

Ochaco: This fuzz in my chest... What am I doing?

(Yuga: Is it... because you like him?)

(Mina: IT'S LOVE!)

Ochaco: I've gotta push these feelings down. Deku is giving his all to reach his goal — no room for anything else! I don't wanna change that...

(Himiko: You've got a crush on someone, right...? So do I... and I bet you wanna be exactly *like* that special person, huh?)

Ochaco: I'll put these feelings away. I'll focus on working just as hard as he does...

Ochaco turns back to her class with a determined expression on her face.

Ochaco: And reach my dream!

...

Toru: Ochaco, you're so cool!

Kyoka: It's decided then. Good luck, Ochaco.

Ochaco: Right!

Kyoka hands Ochaco two items, presumably to use for the final part of the plan. With that, Ochaco leaves the girls to go to work on "Phase Three".
