"Elysium? What even is that?" I asked and before Evan had a chance to speak Dolostone ran up to me and hugged me while I was still in Hightide's arms. "What the hell Sam! Why did it have to be you?!" He screamed beside my head. I felt his warm tears on my shoulder and hugged him back. "I-I-I don't know," I mumbled out. I wrapped my arms around him to hopefully cheer him up. I opened my eyes to see Cyclone starting to lose his cool. Was I important to him too? "I know the girl is amazing and all, but she needs her space," I heard Hepheastus behind me. Dolostone immediately stood up and walked up to him in obvious anger. "What do you mean 'give her space'?! That girl is my sister and I'm going to lose her because this bastard had too much power!" Dolostone shouted pointed at Evan who had a face of guilt. Alec? I tilted my head and looked at Hephaestus and back at my brother. "I need a hug too, from Sam," I turned my head to see Cyclone coming towards me. Hightide looked him up and down and back at me. He loosened his grip, but didn't fully let go. At this point, I don't think he will ever let me go. Cyclone wrapped his arms around my neck and tucked his head into my shoulder. I felt a few of his tears on my shoulder too, but he never said anything. When he pulled away he looked deep into my eyes with a sad smile. "I'm not going to say anything. I don't want to completely lose it," He said with a small laugh. I did as much of a jump as I could into his arms one last time. "Thank you, Steven," I whispered into his year. I pulled away to see a few more tears staining his cheeks, but he gave me a nod and gave me back to Hightide. I had a hunch. I looked up at Hightide and he smiled down at me with sadness in his eyes. "I think we have more important things to ask at the moment than who is who and how it happened. I think the people who should be getting questions are Hecate and Evan. My problems can be solved later," I said looking at the purple goddess everyone ignored. She had long black hair covering one of her eyes and a long purple dress. She obviously was guilty about what she did. "Sam, you're important right now. You need a hospital, a doctor, a-" "Shut up blue boy!" Evan shouted. He had his fist clenched and his jaw tightened. I get it we didn't end on good terms, but he was nice a second ago. What is up with him? "She isn't going anywhere," he said in a low voice. Hightide gently put me in Dolostone's care and stomped up to Evan. "What the hell do you mean? She needs help! She can't walk! She has no strength in her body! I'm not going to lose her because of an asshole like you!" he shouted. I could only see the back of his head, but you could tell by everything else that he was mad. All because of me. Evan sighed, but he surprisingly kept his composure. "Did you not hear what I said? She is going to Elysium! The girl is dying! No doctor on this planet is going to help her!" he shouted. He looked over at me and back at Hightide. "She is going where all the other gods went. That's what the symbol is for on her cheek. That's her entry ticket," Evan said in almost a whisper. My eyes went wide. I'm going to heaven with the gods? What could I possibly have done to do that? "There has to be another way! You read your stupid prophecy probably a billion times, was there nothing we could do to get her to stay?!" Hightide pleaded. Cyclone went to Hightide's side and placed his hand on his shoulder. "Buddy, if he knew there was another way he would tell us," Cyclone said. Hightide growled and stood up. "No! I can't lose her!" he cried. He turned to face me and when I saw his tears mine started to fall too. Hightide came back over to me and sat in front of me while I was still in Dolostone's arms. "The police are coming. I'll deal with Evan, Hecate, and everything. I'll leave you guys alone for a minute," Dolostone said. "Sam," he said. I looked up to him to see a smile on his face. "You were the best sister I could have asked for," he said. I hugged him probably for the last time before he handed me off to Hightide. I heard sirens getting closer and closer and I was surprisingly getting more relieved. Evan would be gone, the jewel of Hecate will be in its rightful place, and everyone will be safe once again. I sighed as I watched Evan be put into handcuffs, Dolostone and Cyclone taking care of the police and the crowd, and Heaphestus talking to Hecate. "You did amazing today," Hightide said. I looked up at him to see his blue eyes filled with the storms of sadness. "So did you," I said smiling. Hightide held me tighter and put his face in the crook of my neck. "How are you excepting this?" he asked. He pulled away to look at my face. Now that he mentioned it, how am I so calm about this? I'm fucking dying. "Maybe because I'm happy with how I'm leaving things," I whispered. "Everyone is safe, no one is going to be attacking this city for a long time, what more could I ask for?" I asked and he looked down at me. I gave him a weak smile and he smiled back. We stared into each other's eyes for a few more moments before Hightide spoke up. "Wish I knew....." He tried and I put my finger to his lips. "There's no point in wishing now," I said and he let a few more tears slip. Then my eye lips got insanely heavy. It wasn't long before my eyes never opened again. Hightide noticed this and started getting insanely worried. "No, no, no. You can't go now! Sam, keep your eyes open for me please!" He pleaded, but it was too late. I didn't have the will to keep them open anymore. "Sam, please!" I heard Hightide again. "I have so much I need to tell you! I was the one that found the stupid video! Purposely I told the guy not to come so I could be there! I never hated you on the first day! Please open your eyes" was the last thing I heard. I saw blue light coming through my eyelids showing he transformed back. I can't open them. I wanted to look at him one last time. I was almost gone until I felt a pair of soft lips touch mine. It obviously wasn't as aggressive as the one in the park, but it was gentle and full of passion in its own way. His warm lips left mine after a few moments, and that was that.
