The fight lasted so long it lasted for the rest of school. I got home with stupid love thoughts in my head. I can't believe he was so worried about me he was running around looking for me. I would be doing the same if I wasn't the one to put that thing out. I have around an hour and a half before the team was going to meet up, but I don't know. I could use that time to study. I was thinking of my options as I made my way to my room. I shut the door and heave a sigh. "Hephaestus, do you think I should go?" I asked and he jumped out of my pocket and onto my bed. "Well, I think it would be fun. Get you out of the house for once and get you to socialize, for once," He said and I crossed my arms, giving him a look. "You make it sound like I don't know how to have fun," I said sarcastically, and he just looked at me. "Honestly you don't," he said sarcastically and I huffed. "What do you mean? I know how to have fun," I said going to sit on my bed. "Really? You study your butt off even when you have the chance to hang out, you are too scared to hang out with the masked musketeers, and you don't even want to go out on a date that involves free food. I'm starting to think you don't," he says with a laugh and I scoff. "Fine. I will go just to prove you wrong. I can have fun," I said and he just continued to laugh. I'll show him. I can have fun. I go on my phone to waste some time before I had to go when I hear thuds or something from down the hall. "Alec?" I said. I didn't get an answer. I got up and headed for his room. Knock knock knock. There was no answer. I open the door and take a peek. "Alec, you in here?" I said, but still no response. I fully open the door and see a piece of paper on his desk. I pick it up to read his horribly messy handwriting. In college, and still writes like he is in grade two.

Screw you if you walked into my room. I'm going out with some friends so don't be paranoid. The same note is on the fridge, but I had a feeling you would check here first, and the sooner you found something the least likely you will call the police.

What is it and people thinking I'm a paranoid one? "Well that makes leaving the house a lot easier," I said and Hephaestus nodded. I transformed and went out the window and went on my way. I made my way to the spot and I was a couple of minutes early so I just sat down and enjoyed the view. The lights look amazing and the moon was full and sparkly. I sighed when I heard a thud from behind. I turn to see a familiar blue suit. Hightide's blue suit. I don't really know why but he looked really good tonight even though that's what he wears every time I see him. Maybe it's the lighting? Maybe it's the atmosphere? I'm not sure what it is, but I like it. I'm getting a feeling in my stomach, it's the same one as the one have when I see Logan. Wait why do I have the crushy feeling? I don't like this idiot too, do I? "Hey Sparky," Hightide said and I rolled my eyes. "When did I say my name was Sparky?" I asked with a sarcastic laugh and he joined me and his laugh was heaven. Wait. No. that is not true. One dumb crush is enough. "Ok how about Firebug?" He said with a smirk and I giggled. "How about no?" I said and he started thinking again. " Flamey?" He said and I immediately shook my head. "Ok, I will admit that one kinda sucks," He said and we laughed. He started thinking again then his face lit up. It was lit up to be happy then to a playful, evil smirk. " I mean, my personal favorite is hot stuff and I think it matches perfectly," He said with a charming smirk, looking me up and down. Is this dude really flirting with me? Is this dude really fucking flirting with me?! I look away with a hint of a blush rising to my cheeks and he chuckles a bit. "Sparky. I'll go with that," I say tucking a loose strand of hair out of my face. "Don't get so flustered I was kidding......kind of," He said looking away, scratching the beach of his neck. The last part was very quiet but I still heard it. We both hear two thuds and we turn to see the missing boys we were waiting for. "Hey lovebirds, what were you guys doing?" Cyclone asks sitting beside me. I scoff and Hightide laughs. "And who are you calling lovebirds Cyclone?" I asked a touch annoyed and the two boys laugh. I look to Hightide, and he is slightly embarrassed and red like me. "Please. We could see you guys about to makeout a mile away," Dolostone pipes in, and Cyclone falls over, holding his stomach while he was laughing. "OK very you two, but would you like to talk about something else now?" Hightide asked while rolling his eyes and I did the same. "Well, I don't know. How about we just go around the group and see what y'all want to say about your selves," Dolostone said and we all agreed. "I'll go first. So you already know me as Dolostone. I have an amazing younger sister and a loving family. I got the jewel of Gaia and she thinks I'm a wingnut," He said with a laugh and we join him. Not surprised she thinks that. On our first day, he called Hightide water boy. We looked around the group and Cyclone shrugged his shoulders. "OK, I'm next. You guys know me as Cyclone, duh, but you don't know I have a girlfriend, I was obsessed with pokémon until I was thirteen, and I can burp the alphabet," He said. "You have no idea how gross that is, do you?" I asked and he shook his head. "It's not gross, it's just air," Cyclone said with a duh tone. "Alright lover boy, you're next," Dolostone said with a laugh and Cyclone gives him a fist pump, and gives us a smirk. I roll my eyes, but when I look at Hightide he is as red as a tomato. "It ain't loverboy, and I would like to think you guys would know that. I'm a closet nerd. I actually like math, an-" Hightide was saying until Cyclone budded in. "Wait, how can any normal human like math? It is brutal. So much work!" He shouted and I crossed my arms. "Maybe I can change your mind about how bad math is," I stated and he gave me a gesture to go on. "How many essays have you had to write for math?" I asked and his smile dropped. I gave him a raised eyebrow and continued. "How many novels did you have to read in math class?" I asked and he still kept silent. The Hightide piped in on my side. "How many times did you lose marks because something was spelled wrong?" Hightide asked. I will admit, that's a good point. "OK, OK, you guys made a point, math isn't too, too bad. With the arguments you are pulling out it seems you really hate English," Cyclone said and he couldn't be more right. English in school never made sense to me. "English is the worst!" Me and Hightide said in unison. We looked at each other and smiled. "Really? I loved the things I did in English class. Reading books for homework was grand," Dolostone said and I sighed. "OK, I'm a book worm too, but I don't understand how being forced to read something is fun. It's like giving someone pizza when they are full, but then you shove it down their throats," I said moving my hands frantically. I glance over to Hightide and he had the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. Nice ocean blue with the twinkle in his eye. Focus on the conversation! Geez. "OK, that is maybe the weirdest thing I have heard someone say. How can you be full if there is a pizza in front of you?" Cyclone asked and I rolled my eyes. "You get the point," I said with a laugh. All the boys turned to look at me and I froze. Was there something on my face? "What are you guys staring at?" I asked and they looked at one another. "Well we talked about ourselves and now it's your turn." Hightide said and I froze again. I probably should have been coming up with a response while they were talking. I don't know what to say. I'm not interesting. I read books and watch TV, what is there to talk about? "Well, uh, I like books, math. I'm actually at the top of my math class right now," I said and Dolostone gave me a bored look. I gave him a look and he sighed. "You like books and math. There has got to be more to tell from the fan-favorite Sparks," Dolostone said with a fangirl voice. "What in the world do you mean fan-favorite? More people I talk to are more into Hightide," I said with air quotes, and Hightide looked at me with a bright smile. "Really? They like me?" Hightide said with happiness in his eyes, and I couldn't help but smile at this. His smiling is contagious. "All the guys I hang out with, say how hot you are, and how brave you are," Cyclone said and I looked away at the lights with embarrassment. Me, and hot, in the same sentence? That is unheard of unless I'm outside on the hottest day of the year."Oh shush. The girls freak out about you guys all the time. Trust me, they go bananas when they see you guys on TV. When I was at work, no girl cared about the products they were just staring at you on TV," I said with a laugh with almost pity for those girls. Looks are the only thing that matters. I don't think they were taking in what they were saying that day. They just wanted to stare at them I think. "Oh, so the amazing Sparks has a job. How much do you get paid?" Cyclone said with a smirk. "I only work part-time with minimum wage. I love my job though," I said with a smile. Thinking about that music store always makes me happy. Rosita always being positive and forgiving, all the nice co-workers, just everything is awesome. "Alright. For the most classic, most awaited part of hanging out with people. Relationship status and crushes," Dolostone said. Oh no. This is going to be interesting.
