Logan sat beside me in math, and it was magical. Sure we barely talked and all, but we were side by side and that's all that matters. Emma was sitting in her normal seat and I could tell she was pissed. Nothing makes my day like Emma being pissed and shutting up. We somehow got through the first half and made it to lunch. We sat down at an empty lunch table and we waited for Steven. "Steven is going to be a nightmare today," I stated as I took a bite of watermelon and Logan looked up from his salad. "Why?" he asked simply and I sighed. "Logan, Logan, Logan. Steven is going to be a ball of jitters. He is going to be so nervous for tonight he is going to lose it," I said flailing my arms around and Logan chuckled. "He can't be that bad?" he asked. As I opened my mouth to respond Steven sat down beside logan. "Who can't be that bad?" Steven asked and we both turned red. "Nothing," Logan and I muttered in unison. Steven looked back and forth between me and Logan. "Was I interrupting something?" Steven asked and I quickly shook my head. "No of course not. How was your first half?" I asked and he looked away. I gave him a weird look. "You know what I am going to say Sam, and I know you don't want to hear it," Steven said, grabbing his lunch from his bag. "What would she not want to hear?" Logan asked and Steven turned red. "I have been freaking out all day!" Steven basically shouted for the whole cafeteria to hear. Every table looked in our direction and I turned my head back to my watermelon. Conversations seemed to die as soon as Steven said that. After a good five seconds, everyone went back to what they were doing. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. "Geez did you want everyone to know?" Logan asked with a laugh and Steven scratched the back of his neck. Steven muttered a sorry and we just continued to eat. "Are you going to the thing on Friday Steven?" Logan asked and my heart slightly dropped. Why? No idea. "I was going to, but it might depend on how tonight goes. If it goes well I might go and she could come with me, but if it goes bad I might be depressed for the week," he said and I rolled my eyes. "The only way the date could go bad is if you stand her up, and I know you won't because I will go over to your house and drag you by the ear to the date myself," I said and Logan laughed while Steven went a touch white. Logan waved a hand in front of Steven but he was frozen in his spot. Scaredy cat. "Man Sam, did you have to scare the man like that? He's going to look like that permanently if you keep doing that to him" Logan asked looking over at Steven who was still frozen in his place, letting out a charming chuckle. "Of course I had to. Ellie is my best friend and if something happens to her because of Steven he will not see the light of day ever again," I said with a dangerous grin. Logan was either slightly turned on or something because he gave me a glance over, biting his lip, and looking me up and down. It also might have been my imagination, but it looked like he glanced at my lips for a few seconds. "OK, well, I'm going to go get away from this demon. I'll be over there, have fun lovebirds," Steven said. In one swift motion he stood up and started speed walking towards his other friends. On instinct I stood up and slammed my hands onto the table. "We are not lovebirds Steven!" I shouted across the cafeteria and everyone, once again, looked right at me. Looking like a red fool I sat back down and lowered my head. That slam seemed to have moved both our lunches over a few inches. Now that I think about it my hands hurt a bit now. I'm an idiot. I looked back at Logan and he did the same. We stared for a few seconds, laughed, and then went back to our food. I was the first to look away because I couldn't look into his eyes for too long without looking like I liked him, and we don't need him knowing that. "Well that was interesting," I said and Logan chuckled. "You that set on him and Ellie going smoothly?" Logan asked and I scoffed. "Of course. If Ellie is dragging me along they better work out," I said stuffing another piece of fruit in my mouth aggressively. Once again he seems to glance at my lips again and I don't know how to feel. It might have been from my aggression, staring off into space, or something else that I can't put my finger on. "What do you mean 'dragging you along'? You don't want to go that much?" he asked and I sighed. "Yes. I am basically going on a double date with a complete stranger. The only thing I'm getting out of this is a night of good food," I said and we laughed in unison. I'm not wrong. Food is never something you turn down. "Come on Sam. This date can't be too bad. You will be out with a relatively nice guy, you are going to get amazing food and you might go stargazing or something romantic. It doesn't sound too bad," Logan said and I shrug. I guess when you put it that way it makes it sound like I don't know who to have fun. "You make it seem like I'm a killjoy when it comes to dates," I said with a smirk and Logan chuckled. "You know what I meant. I just don't understand why an amazing girl like you could hate dates so much. I would think you had quite a few in your days," He said with a sexy smirk and I rolled my eyes. "Such a charmer aren't you Smith?" I asked and he shrugged his shoulders. "Just saying, you got lots of things going for you. You love sports, you're smart, actually care about others," He said and I rolled my eyes again trying to hide how flattered I really was. I didn't think I would hear him say those things like that. He made it sound like I was the best girl in the world. He has a crush, stop talking like that. "You forgot to mention doesn't know how to flirt, gets scared of weird strangers, and has a deeper connection with math than with many people," I said laughing and Logan laughed with me. I put my lunch away in my bag. When I opened my bag I found Heaphaestus giving me a look. I know why he is giving me that look, but we ain't going to talk about it. I pushed him aside gently and put my lunch beside him. I left my lunch a bit open so he could eat a bit of leftover lunch if he was hungry. "I'm about done, so want to head to our lockers and get to class early together?" Logan asked and I nodded as fast as possible. Did I look desperate? He smiled and finished his last bit of salad so we could get on our way. He stood up and as we were leaving I looked back at Steven to see him giving me a look and two thumbs up. That dumbass. I give him two fingers to tell him to piss off 'cause he doesn't know or need to know I like the certain individual next to me. He seemed to be amused cause I saw him laugh and I gave off a little giggle. "What's so funny?" Logan asked and looked back at the handsome man beside me. "Just Steven being weird. Nothing to see here," I said and Logan nodded with my answer. We got to the hallway and a comfortable silence filled the hall. It was just Logan, me, and the walls surrounding us and it was really nice. We were again touching shoulders bassically and I didn't want this too end. Is it possible he likes me? I mean we have all this space to ourselves and he chooses to be touching shoulders with me. Or he could have just left me in the cafeteria on my own to hang out with other guys but instead he chooses to hang out with me. I might be over thinking. I look up at Logan to see him looking down at me. Why does he have to be so damn tall? Logan gives me a quick smirk along with a wink and looks back up to watch where he is going. "So when is your 'unwanted date' tonight Sam?" Logan asked, keeping his eyes facing forward. I scratched the back of my neck 'cause it felt awkward. He seemed sad or something when he asked. Or it could be just my imagination. "Well it starts at six thirty, but Steven wants me to be early so I can meet him a bit before hand. Not weird at all," I said rolling my eyes and Logan looked over at me. Why the fuck does he have to be so tall and handsome and Mr. Perfect? I think I mentioned that already, but honestly I don't think it can be said enough. His looks just scream hot and he is probably one of, maybe even the nicest person I have ever met. Sure when we met we had a rocky start but I think the reason he didn't like me was touching. He just wanted to help people out out of the goodness of his heart. "I bet you will be fine. Who ever this guy is he is going to love you. A guy who doesn't would be crazy," he said and I looked down hiding the blush on my cheeks. He must be flirting by accident. He has a crush, shouldn't he go flirt with her? "You weren't so fond of me when we first met, you saying you're crazy?" I said with sarcasm and he laughed. He looked back down at me and I glanced at his lips. I have no clue why this crush is developing so fast, but it is scaring me. Right now I want to kiss this boy like no tomorrow and that shouldn't be happen. Feelings don't develop that fast, right? "I was more then crazy," He said. Logan's eyes looked into mine, but now mine were all over the place out of nervousness. I forced myself to move my eyes back up to his blue eyes to show I was listening. He got a little closer and put his lips close to my ear. You know, he could kiss me if he moved and inch closer but I probably shouldn't force that to happen. I felt his breath tickle my skin and it sent a shiver down my spine. "I was insane,"
