i unpublished the thing from last night about calling sammy just because i don't want to start any drama. thanks guys.

brenda's pov

my mouth gaped open as i looked at what jack was holding in his hands.

it was a thick envelope, with the university of michigan logo on the top left. i nearly fell off the chair from excitement.

"wait...what?!" i half yelled, a huge smile on my face as i tried to contain my excitement.

jack had a huge smirk on his face as he nodded slowly.

"yup, you're in, baby girl!"

my eyes widened as i ran over to him and kissed all over his face.

"c-can you believe it, jack? i'm gonna go to college!"

he leaned in and gave me a tight hug, whispering about how proud he was of me and how he knew i could get accepted.

i screamed as a way to let out my happiness, which earned a laugh from jack. then, i heard loud thumping into the kitchen.

"what happened, mommy?" amelia asked, with a cute worried face.

i shook my head and laughed.

"nothing, sweetie. i'm fine, see!" i replied, grinning extra widely.
