"amelia, you have to go to uncle nate's house, remember? you have to get ready." i said, turning the tv off in the living room.

she frowned for a second but obliged, and trudged upstairs to her room.

i sighed and plopped onto the couch, tossing the remote onto the other side. i was so tired that i didn't even hear jack walk in the room.

"you look stressed, baby. are you okay?"

i looked up at him and nodded.

"yeah, it's just that we have to get am to nate's house, and then i have to drive all the way back here."

he agreed and sat down next to me.

"she has so much energy, i wonder how you guys are related!" he laughed, kissing my cheek.

"shut up!" i said, smiling.
