3: Kaiden

They thought I was perfect.

I'm Kaiden Sutherland. Pronounced ay Kay-den. Born in Texas,USA and moved to New York to be independent. Waitress in the morning,student at night. On weekends I babysit my friends' kids. Taking up Business Administration in NYU but then I felt that all of these are useless.

I was and always be Ryder's secret admirer.

My parents are both American tycoons but through my Filipino friends, I pursued to study the Philippine language and culture. When I was 16, I went to the Philippines without parents knowing it. Katuwaan lang yun. We got drunk most of time there. Doon ko mas lalong minahal ang bansa na tinitirhan ng mga kaibigan ko. We were always in every party in Manila, having fun and living the life every teenager wants to live.

Then I met Ryder. He's my friend's cousin. Eric told me that Ryder was already taken pero hindi tumigil ang paghanga ko sa kanya. I got his number from Eric but never texted him even once. I was always updated with him but then NYU offered me for a scholarship. After that, nakalimutan ko na siya.

But fate was really pushing me to him. Years after we graduated college, Eric told me that Ryder will be going to New York. Halos mabaliw ako kakaisip gabi-gabi, wondering kung kailan kami magkikita. Before he left New York to chase Bianca Castillo, Eric set me and Ryder up. We met again on a bar and then talked.

Feeling ko dream come true na ito. Heaven.

He was brokenhearted and I thought I was the right person to make him forget her.

But I was wrong.

I became his friend. JUST HIS FRIEND.

Ang sakit. Napakabait niya,napakasweet at caring pero hanggang doon na lang pala.

Umasa ako na maging kami ni Ryder.

News came from Eric na nawawala ang babaeng pinakamamahal ni Ryder. This is my last chance to prove na ako ang kailangan niyang mahalin. I will never ever hurt him.

Bago niya tawagan at pasahan ng picture ko si Ryder, I made a deal with Eric na kapag pinalabas nya na may kinalaman ako as witness sa pagkawala ni Bianca, half of our family business's shares will be given to him solely. Noong una nag-aalangan pa siya. Sabi pa niya sa akin pagtatraydor daw ito kay Ryder.

But Eric Vergara was a business-minded guy. Money and honour are more important than anything to him. And giving that share will put VGC in America's Top Ten Successful Companies.

He agreed on our deal. I printed out my photo and made him write that I saw Bianca. Siya na rin nag-suggest na uuwi kami sa Pilipinas para mas makatotohanan ang lahat.

Hah! Money really makes everything possible.

I kissed Eric on his cheeks and winked. " Let me know when is our flight."
