Harry was up bright and early, 6am to be precise. He hardly slept as he was so excited.

Today is the day he had been waiting for for the past year. He was finally starting secondary school. He would be in the same school as all his friends again.

The last year had been a struggle for him, being apart from his best friend, Louis.

He sat at the kitchen table waiting for Robin to get the cereal out of the cupboard.

He kept taping the end of his spoon nervously on the table.

Robin laughed. "You ok there Harry?" He asked as he placed the bowl in front of him.

"Yes thank you. I'm going to big school today with Louis."

"You certainly are." He sat opposite him as Anne walked in.

"Here you are. I thought you'd still be in bed." She said, kissing the top of Harry's head.

"Too excited." He replied, his mouth full of coco pops.

His leg was bouncing as he ate too quickly.

"Slow down. You'll choke." Robin said.

"Where Gem? She walking with me."

"She's just getting dressed."

He hummed and nodded as he finished his breakfast.

Half an hour later, Harry and Gemma were ready to go. There was a knock at the door and Harry opened it.

"Harry!" Louis yelled as Harry jumped up at him, making Louis nearly topple backwards. "Steady."

Harry got down and giggled. "Sorry Lou Lou. Excited. Going big school with you now."

"I know. It's so good we can be together again."

"Hi Louis." Gemma said as she appeared behind Harry. "We better go or we'll be late."

Anne took photos of Harry in his new uniform, plus one with Gemma and one of them with Louis.

"Have a good day. Love you kids." Anne said, waving them off. Robin stood behind her.

They strolled to the school. It was about a fifteen minute walk normally, but as Harry can't walk very fast, it would take them longer now.

It didn't help that Harry kept stopping and looking at flowers or cats in people's gardens.

They got to school with five minutes to spare.

In the playground, they found Niall, Zayn and Liam.

"Hi guys!" Niall yelled as he rushed over to the trio. "I feel really small. Everyone else are giants."

Gemma laughed. It wasn't quite true. Louis was short plus Harry was tiny.

"Now. You know where you're going right?" Gemma asked Harry, who was looking around the playground. There was definitely more kids at this school than his last one, and he was feeling a bit scared.

"Harry?" She said again.

He turned to her and nodded. "Go wiv Niall."

"That's right. And we'll all meet up at break. OK?" He nodded again.

The bell sounded and they all said their goodbyes. Louis gave Harry a long reassuring hug. "You'll be ok. See you soon."

It was lunchtime. Harry was sat at a table in the canteen with Niall. He kept looking around, trying to find Louis.  He bit his nails, nervously, as bigger kids walked past him. He felt so small.
