"Why are you two so happy?" Zayn asked as Louis walked back into the garden hand in hand with Harry.

Niall gave a knowing smile to the two boys.

"Harry is my boyfriend now, that's why." Louis said proudly, holding Harry's hand tighter.

"He's what?" Liam asked, stunned.

"Really? Aw that's great. You make a cute couple." Zayn said, getting up and hugging both boys.

"I always knew you'd end up together. You've never been apart since you were little." Niall added.

Liam looked at them, with a disgusted look on his face. "Gross." He whispered.

Niall heard, but said nothing, not wanting to upset the new boyfriends.

They all sat by the pool. "Are we going in or what?" Liam asked, sounding slightly angry.

"I am. Let's race." Zayn said. Both boys got up and jumped in, splashing the other three.

"Soooo...you know I'm really happy for you. You're the best friends ever." Niall said.

"Thank you Ni. That means a lot."

Harry was silent. Not usually very good at showing his feelings, except with his family and Louis, but he smiled and crawled over to Niall so they could hug.

In the pool, Zayn was racing with Liam.  They stopped after a while and rested at the end away from their friends.

"It's disgusting." Liam said, suddenly.

Zayn looked at the boy. "What is?"

"Them two. It's not right."

"Why not. There's nothing wrong with them liking each other."

Liam frowned. "It's just....ewww."

"You're stupid Liam. I hope you're not gonna say anything to them. If you ruin this for them, I swear you will lose us all as friends."

Liam sighed, and went back to swimming, making sure he splashed the boys at the other end again.

Today is Liam's 14th birthday, and he's having a party at his house. All the boys are invited, as well as their families and the mysterious Sophia.

It's 3pm and everyone is in Liam's garden. Sophia was holding Liam's hand.

"Great party Liam." Niall said, handing his present and card over.  Liam placed them in a pile near the house.

"I know. I always do the best parties."

"This your girlfriend?" Niall asked.

"Yeah. This is Sophia."

"Hi."

"Hi." She was a pretty girl. Short, blue eyes, blonde hair. "Um...I'll be right back." She wandered off to talk to someone else. Odd.

"Hey guys." Louis said. Harry was beside him as they all met up.

Liam groaned. "Hi."

"H-Happy birthday." Harry said, shyly. He wishes he wasn't so shy around Liam, but he always makes him feel uncomfortable.

Louis took his hand, noticing his uneasiness. Liam looked at their hands.

"Do you have to do that here?"

"Do what?" Louis asked, confused.

"That!" Liam pointed at their hands. "Don't do it here. I don't want to see it."
