Chapter 32 - Qixi Festival, July 7 Valentine Day

Fengjiu looked at Yanzhi who was looking at YanChiwu's back. "Yanzhi, don't worry, things will get better for you, I promise!" Fengjiu cheerfully says to her then turns over to Donghua. "Dijun, can you send them to ZhiYan's since she doesn't have much cultivation." Fengjiu asks with pleading eyes. Donghua was more than happy to do so. Since bumping into them and that Demon Lord, it had already wasted their lovely time together. He nods his head and waves his arm sending the two away from their sight.

Donghua was extremely happy that they are now finally left alone in some peace and quiet. "Xiaobai, let's go back, it's almost time for the Qixi festival." Donghua softly says while gently caressing her cheeks. "Are you not tired? You just used a lot of your cultivations to break through the Ten Evil Lotus Land?" she worryingly asks while caressing his cheeks on her tippy toes. "Don't worry I'm alright. Did you already forget who your husband is?" he softly replies back while wrapping his arms around her waist to prevent her from falling backward.

"He he he... No, of course, I didn't! But, seriously, I can wait for the next one. It's only one mortal year or one immortal day!" she concerningly says to him. He places his chin on the top of her head and tightly embraces her for a while. He lets go of her and walks back a few steps. "Xiaobai, I'm fine. Do I look tired or hurt, to you?" he seriously asks back while showing his body off to her with his hand stretched out. She just shakes her head to answer him. Donghua closes in the gap between them then he materializes a flower wreath headband in his hand. "You made it for me again?" Fengjiu happily squeals and tilts her head downward. 

"Of course! It's Qixi today! I have to show my wifey how much I love her. Even though I already gave you one before as a token of affection. I don't find it's a bad idea to give it again, especially on Qixi." he happily says while placing it on her head then he nods his head at the handy work he has done. "I love it!" she happily says then she gets on her tippy toes and kisses him on the nose. Donghua lovingly smiles at her then just waves of his arm and he teleports them back into the busy streets of the capital city. As they arrive, it's already nighttime. The Qixi festival has already started, it's bustling with people, music, events, all sorts of performances and much more.

Fengjiu was happily running around from vendor to vendor and performance to performance. Everything to her was not new since she would normally sneak to the Mortal Realm from time to time, trying to escape blind dates that her dad keeps setting up for her. Or her Gugu would take her to a tea house to listen to some storytelling. But the way she was acting right now, was like a child seeing new interesting things that she has never seen before. This is the first time she is at the Qixi festival with her lover. Donghua lets her be herself since this makes her happy which also makes him happy as well.

She starts buying lots of random things from food to random toys and masks. Donghua would magically send all the stuff that she buys back to TaiChen Palace so they don't need to carry it around. As she comes upon a stand where they sell animal masks; this is when her eyes fall onto the beautifully crafted fox mask where the eyebrows can move with the pull of the strings. "Dijun! Look! This fox mask is beautiful!" she happily says while tippy-toeing to put it on his face. He bends down so it makes it easy for her to put it on him. "Look, now you have a face of a fox. You are now part of our fox pack! He he he he!" she happily says while taking out some money to give to the stand owner.

She pulls him to the next stand where it was selling candy animals. "Dijun, these are some popular sweets." she says while giving the owner some money so the owner can start making two fresh ones. The owner has drawn a fox and a dragon then he hands them to Fengjiu. She hands Donghua both sticks. "They are both for you Dijun. I promised you that I will make you some sweets but I still haven't gotten to do it yet. I promise you when we get back to TaiChen Palace I will make a huge batch for you." she happily says with a big warm smile on her face.
