Chapter 4 - Am I Crazy?

"Jiu'er what did you?"

"Jiu'er what is going on?"

...

"Jiu'er I promise you nothing will happen to you, I won't let anything happened to you!"

...

"DIJUN!"... "DIJUN!"... "DIJUN!"..."DIJUN!"...

Fengjiu woke up panicking. She's panting and scared about where she is. "Where am I? Why is everything so weird? Where is Dijun? I remember I opened the box and everyone was getting sucked into it. But they are all here in front of my eyes, they all look so weird! There is something off about them. I can't stay here... I need to go..." she talks to herself.

She gets out of bed, looks around for some clothes but they all looked weird and strange to her like all of them were like undergarments to her. So she chooses a grey looking short cape robe and matching long pants along with that she found all the shoes to even look stranger to her. Barely any of them had any support, just a few strings attached to them, like she was thinking was she poor or something that she can't afford to get decent clothing? The only pair she found that was decent enough was a pair of short black flat boots and she quickly changed into the new outfit.

She looked over on the desk and there was a pretty pouch in it that had some paper looking with numbers on them, some metal looking discs and there was a heavy metal square box with some string looking thing attached to it. Suddenly another long square box looking thing on the desk started to make sounds, flashing and it startled her. She realized it was something valuable, so she stuffed it in the pouch as well. She hangs it around her body hiding it under her short cape robe.

She slowly peeks open the door to see if there is anyone guarding, once she sees the coast is clear she tries to transform into her fox form. No matter how hard she tried she was still in her human form. Then she realized that it was true that her desire came true. But something is still keeping her worried. So she continues to sneak her way out of the room, she slowly tips toes across the hall, she sees lights coming out of all the doors she passes. She had to make sure none of the people behind the doors heard her. She took a peek down the stairs and made sure no one was around.

She pulls the hood on her and she wanted to start dashing down the stairs but the thought of what if people heard her making her way down? So instead she sat on the handrail slide all the way down and straight out the front doors.

Once she left the premises she ran as fast as she could, not caring where she was going. Everything that she passes is weird and strange to her, nothing she ever has seen before. Fireless torches on the street, horseless moving carriages, tall buildings, two-wheels moving things with people on them, big giant horseless carriages and much more. She keeps on running until she runs out of breath so she stops, bends down with both hands holding her knee caps and panting.

When she ran out of the house she didn't even realize it was late and dark at night and she didn't know what time it was either. Once she recovers her breath she starts to look around and see where she is but nothing is making sense to her. In her mind;

"This is definitely a strange place! Nothing looks familiar at all! If they found out that I ran away they will come searching for me and that stupid old phoenix will hurt me again."

She slowly started walking straight again but still didn't know where she was going. She ends up in a small forest, she then stumbles upon a group of men in the middle. The group of men has been drinking a lot and when they saw her they wanted to have some fun with her. She quickly knows that their intentions are up to no good so she starts backing up and the men start chasing her. With all her experiences from running from her dad and her suitor throughout all those years back in Qingqiu she was able to quickly escape from them.
