Donghua arrives at the Baishui Mount, he scans the surroundings and definitely there is MengHao's aura here. He starts to walk deeper into the mountain and suddenly he hears loud screaming coming from inside. He quickly materialized into the inner cave and spotted his top general MengHao severely injured and still trying to protect a girl within his cultivation barrier. Donghua waves his hands and Cang'he appears and multiplies, flying out slicing all the deadly monsters, disintegrating all of them in front of the two. Donghua walks over to the two on the ground after retrieving his Cang'he and the barrier just disappears. MengHao was still in his dragon form trying to protect the girl by circling her with his long scaled body. MengHao growls at Donghua while he walks closer to them.

"MengHao, do you not remember who I am? Even if you don't remember who I am, you cannot forget the Cang'he sword in my hand, now can you?" Donghua coldly speaks out, but deep down inside of him, he is depressed to see his long lost general severely injured and dying. MengHao changes back to his human form and lies on the floor all covered in blood. The girl crying and holding onto his body in her arms. "Father, please don't leave me behind. Please don't die!" she cries and sobs. "I just found you, you cannot just leave me like this! Please stay with me!" she continues crying and sobbing.

"Dijun, is it really you? I thought I will never see you again in the remaining time of my life." MengHao weakly speaks out. "MengHao, you've been missing for all this time because you are here in the demon realm... for her? Don't speak anymore, let me heal your wounds." Donghua says while trying to stabilize his condition. "Dijun... there is no... need to waste your cultivation to heal me. I know... I am beyond recoverable... in these conditions. Please... Dijun please... grant me... one dying wish?" MengHao continues to weakly speak. "What is it?" Donghua asks in his same cold voice without any emotion showing on his face.

"Dijun... please keep my... daughter safe. I failed her... mother once, I cannot fail... my daughter as well. She's the head princess... of the Red Demon clan. Please, Dijun please... keep her safe... for me..." MengHao speaks his last words and Dijun nods back to him. MengHao turns to look at his daughter one last time trying to touch her face. "Heng'er... I am sorry... I can't stay with... you anymore... please be a good... girl... live a happier life... if you don't want to... stay in the demon realm any... more then leave... leave and find... your happiness... listen to him... he will keep you safe..." he softly whispers and slowly starts to fade into dust. "Father! Father! NO! FATHER DON'T LEAVE ME! NO!" the girl cries and cries helplessly, trying to hold on to MengHao tightly but was only able to watch him fade into the realm of nothingness.

Silence falls upon the cave while Donghua stares into the emptiness of her arms that once lies his top general body. He spoke out first, breaking the silence. "What are you doing here? I thought I gave you, specific order, not to leave Fanyin Valley." he asks the girl that is still sobbing. "Teacher... I don't dare to disobey... your orders... but... my brother has... ordered me to return to... to attend the wedding ceremony of Heaven and Qingqiu." the girl replies. "Jiheng, after the ceremony you're to immediately return to the valley. Let's go. I will take you back to your brother's." Donghua coldly says while he starts walking out of the cave.

Jiheng slowly follows but keeps turning back, glancing at the cave behind her. She finally found her father not too long ago, but now he is gone again, for good. Her first intention of leaving the valley was to look for her father. But because of her, MengHao died trying to protect her. "If I never came looking for him, he would have still been alive. If I only had to listen to my sister-in-law I wouldn't have been the cause of my father's death! Father, I'm sorry." she says in her mind while continuing to steal glances at the cave behind her.

She and her sister-in-law Minsu were really good friends when they were young. Minsu was an orphan and was saved by Jiheng's brother from bandits, but she was cross-dressing at that time. Jiheng had a huge crush on Minsu for the longest time as they grew up. Her brother liked Minsu as well but as a man, he has his big ego and as a lord, he has everyone's eyes watching him. If he accepts the fact that he likes a male instead of a woman, he's putting shame on himself and on the royal family. No one in the demon realm will ever follow his orders again. There is one thing that celestial and demon have in common, 'reputation - faces'. They just can't lose any of them, especially royal families.
