Fengjiu has been sleeping for three days straight without waking up once, for anything. Donghua was worried sick the past three days. He had to send Zhonglin to retrieve ZheYan to come to take a look at her every few hours since she had no sign of waking up at all. Finally, after the twenty-ninth visit, ZheYan told Donghua straight out. "Look! She is just overly tired out from the past events. She just needs to sleep until she is no longer tired anymore. Asking me to come over every few hours, won't make her wake up any faster. It might just disturb her sleep and cause her to sleep even longer!" ZheYan annoyingly tells him off.

Donghua just gives him the deathly glare and ZheYan could care less about it. Before he leaves his chamber for the final time he finally lets out a sigh. "Just let her rest some more!" ZheYan sympathetically says and he disappears from Donghua's sight. Donghua has nothing better to do for the first little bit of waiting. He just kept on reminding himself of the words that ZheYan said 'Just let her rest some more!' 'Just let her rest some more!' The past three days he hasn't left the chamber at all. There were a few times that he sat on the floor by the bedside, looking at her like a lost puppy, with his chin resting on the edge of the bed.

There are some times that he just lays on his side, right beside her and quietly watching her. He tried his best not to disturb her from her rest. Anything he tries to preoccupy himself with, like reading, pottery or even playing Go, doesn't work. His little baby fox is just on his mind. Bai Fengjiu really has become his weakness now, a thing that he tried getting rid of, in his younger years. As he said before, she will be the cause of his death one day. But he is willing to pay up to this cost if it means that she is safe, alive and continues living happily. If others see him right now, they might think he's a statue or dead.

As her eyelids started to move a bit, it brought Donghua back to life again. He puts his arms under her neck and his other hand on her shoulder, bringing her closer to him. "Xiaobai, you're finally awake. Are you feeling any pain anywhere? Are you hungry? Are you..." he worryingly rampages on with lots of questions until she interrupts. "Dijun... I am fine. I'm... just... really tired... still. I don't have any appetite for anything right now." she softly and slowly replies while placing a hand on his cheek. He grabs a hold of her hand on his cheek tightly then pulls it close to his lips then places a kiss on it.

"Xiaobai... I've been so worried about you. You have been sleeping for three whole days. You must be really hungry by now. Even if you don't have any appetite, you still need to eat something." he says worryingly. "Dijun... I really can't!" she whispers out and turns her whole body away from him. "Xiaobai, are you still mad at me? Is it what she said that day? I swear! I never touched her! I mean...I touched her... but... I mean I never touched her in that way! Please believe me!" he says worryingly while turning her back to face him once more.

"Donghua, I told you last time I believed you. Why are you asking me this question again? I really don't have the appetite to eat anything right now." she softly whispers out while she caresses his face again. "Xiaobai, even if you don't have any appetite, just take a few bites. Or even drink some sweet water? If you don't I will have to feed you myself!" he persuades her then raises an eyebrow. "Fine, I will take a few bites and drink some sweet water... I don't need you to feed me!" she shyly says then pouts. She can't believe that he is this shameless to threaten her, just to make her eat something. He knows all her weaknesses too well. She cannot stand him doing intimate acts like feeding her from his mouth.

Donghua gets up from the bed first then helps her sit up, leaning against him for support. He takes one roasted sweet potato from the side table. He breaks it in half and passes one half into her hands. She slowly munches on it but she swallows a bit too fast and she starts coughing. Donghua pats her back to help relieve her pain. "Slow down, no one is going to take it away from you." he says worryingly. He grabs the bowl of sweet water from the side table and starts to spoon feed her slowly. "Here, drink some, it will help wash down the sweet potato that is stuck in your throat." he lovingly says.
