Time will never stop still for anyone and it never will. Fate always likes to make everyone into a fool and animals are not excluded either. Many sayings circulate in the Mortal Realm which really suits all Mortals and Immortals as well. The first one is: 'Killing people and setting fires can make you wear golden belts. But those who repair bridges and patch roads will not have a full crop left after death.'

Which is not wrong at all. Fate is never fair nor generous to the good people. Couples that are truly in love are always separated, going through life or death and hardships. Couples that are forced to be together, hate each other or are never meant to be, will never separate. The other saying is: 'Whatever seed you planted when harvest season arrives, you will get whatever it shall be.' If you planted a melon seed then a melon you shall get. So if you have caused harm to other people then you will get the karma from it in return.

The third saying is: 'Good deeds are rewarded with good and evil deeds are punished with evil. If neither arrives yet, then it is just not the right timing yet.' Often people will ask themselves; 'What have they ever done wrong to deserve this kind of punishment?' The bad guys will always get what they want, live lavish lives, or have all the power to make others' lives like a living hell.

Sometimes the Mortals are far more powerful in predicting the future than the Immortals, with the proof of how they come up with all these sayings. If Fate is also a walking, breathing, and living being, everyone would surely track it down. When they do finally track down Fate, Fate will for sure feel the waft from all living beings.

Fengjiu slowly and weakly wakes up on the bed right next to Donghua. She is surprised that she is sleeping beside him properly, unlike how she would be like an octopus all over him. She doesn't know how long she has fallen asleep nor what time it is now. She also doesn't remember how she got back to the bed chamber nor how she brought him back either. The only thing that comes to her mind right at this moment, is she needs to feed him her heart's blood which she does daily.

She quickly gets off the bed. But as usual, she gets super clumsy and almost tripping when she is in a rush. "He he he... Donghua I am fine... don't worry." she laughingly tells him while looking back. At this moment she doesn't care if she gets hurt or not. All she cares about right now is to go searching for the dagger that she uses to pierce her heart and the bowl to catch her blood. None of those items were in sight anywhere. She searches high and low but they are nowhere to be found. She runs out of the bed chamber to where she would normally take him to sunbathe and there they are.

The blood on the dagger and the bowl has already dried, crusted and looks dark copper brown under the pavilion. She runs over to the pavilion to retrieve the two items. She tries to pick the items up but apparently, they are glued to the stone table. She uses all her force to pull on the two items and after a small fight, they finally come off. In her memories she doesn't remember there was any time that the items looked like this or were stuck like this.

"This is so strange... it was stuck so tightly to the stone table. I remember that there were many times when I was so tired after feeding him my blood that I left them out just like this for a day, it never was like this. Why does my blood look as if they were from years ago?" she randomly asks questions out loud.

None of this makes any sense to her at all. She shakes off this weird feeling because she doesn't have any precious time to waste thinking about it. She rushes over to the river to wash both items. Once both items are clean she rushes back into the bed chamber so she can start collecting her blood once more. As she sits down in front of Donghua on the side stool, she smiles at Donghua's peaceful sleeping face.

"Donghua, hubby, The weather is quite nice today. Maybe we can go for a sunbath later?" she softly asks hoping to hear a response but she was already mentally prepared to not hear anything. "I'm sorry that I slept in too late. I didn't mean to neglect you or slow down your treatment. Will you blame me?" she softly asks him while using one hand to caress his face.
