Chapter 15 - Unknown Harm Turning Into A Joke

It's been two days since Donghua stayed in Fengjiu's bed chamber. She mostly just sleeps since she was still not getting any better. He just accompanied her sleeping which already made him a happy man. He often checks on her wound, it's been over a month now and the wound still hasn't healed or even shown any sign of healing. He keeps transferring his cultivation into her wound but it only makes her feel less painful. He keeps cleaning her wound and changing her medicine and bandage. He travels between the fox den and TaiChen palace while she is sleeping to get the kitchen to prepare some nourishing congee for her. He's been adding more of his blood in her diet so she could recover faster. But still, her health seems to be declining rather than healing.

When he returns back to her chamber each time, she would still be sleeping and all her blankets would be kicked off the bed. Donghua could only shake his head each time he sees it. "No wonder BaiYi is so in a rush to find you a husband at this young age. You can't even take care of yourself when you're sleeping. I better marry you soon, so I can take good care of you." he thought to himself with a sigh.

"Oh, Xiaobai... Xiaobai... Xiaobai... do you want to eat something?" he sweetly whispers. She wiggles her nose and takes a few sniffs. "What did you get me this time?" she asks with her eyes still closed while licking her lips. "Just some ginseng chicken congee, nothing special..."he replies. Upon her eyes springs right open and she licks her lips. He helps her sitting up and he slowly feeds her one spoon at a time while blowing at the congee each time. When she finishes she slowly leans her head on his shoulder and just drifts back to sleep. She wants to stay awake and enjoy her time with her true love, but her eyes just automatically shut itself. No matter how she tries to stay away each time she can never fight off the sleepiness.

The next morning Donghua checks on her wound again but her wound still looks the same. He starts to clean it and reapply the medicine and bandages. "Dijun... it hurts, be more... gentle!" she groans. "Sorry Xiaobai I didn't mean to hurt you or wake you up." he says while redressing her. "Your injuries are still not getting better. Have you been taking your medicine on time?" he worryingly asks.

"I've been listening to you taking them on time even though I hate it..." she says and gets interrupted. "Little highness, your medicine is ready." Migu yells from outside her chamber. "Speak of the devil. Hold on a second I'm coming. Dijun, wait for me." she says while getting up to head towards the entrance.

She waves her hand to deactivate the barrier and Migu hands her the bowl of medicine. "Why does it smell so different, in the last two days?" she says while bringing the bowl up to her lips. Fengjiu gulps it all down in one go. "It tastes different also... Migu did you add anything to it?" she asks. "Little highness no I didn't add anything to it?" he replies. She waves her hand to motion Migu to leave as she reactivates the barrier. She walks back to her bed where Donghua is lying down now. He just stares at her while he lounges and with a palm supporting his head. "See Dijun I've been taking it on time." she says. "I do see, and that's my Xiaobai!" he praises her. "But I still don't understand why your wound is not fully healed yet. It's been over a month now, mine is already fully healed and we got hurt at the same time." Donghua confusingly says. "It's okay... I have you with me now! I know you will continue taking good care of me." she lovingly says.

Donghua gets up and pulls her into his chest hugging her tightly around the waist. "Xiaobai, of course I will! I will never let you escape from my hands. You will always be the little baby fox that belongs to me! I just want to lock you up in my chamber and never let you out of my sight!" Donghua jealously says. "Dijun, even if you tried to kick me away again, I will pester you until you take me back! I will not let you try to get rid of me that easy! Humph!" she angrily lets out. Donghua just tightens his hold on her after hearing her words. "Xiaobai, I have to leave now. There is something that I have to take care of back in Nine Heaven." he sadly says. "Ummm... don't worry about me too much I'll be fine." she softly replies and nods her head. "Be a good girl now and behave!" he softly commands while stroking her nose then places a kiss on her forehead before vanishing from the chamber. She was left standing there all alone and she lied. She wanted him to stay and don't go. She wanted him to worry about her and that she is not fine at all. But he is Donghua Dijun, there will always be important stuff to deal with, even though he's no longer the owner of all realms.
