6. Fire and thud

"Jamie can you-" I said but Alex pushed me aside almost making me fall. "Alex stop!"

"Sorry love." Alex shrugged and placed one hand around my shoulders but I pushed him away laughing and walked over to Jamie.

"I'm never walking back home with all of you!" I groaned. "Why can't you all be quiet like Nick?"

"Ey don't bring me into this Bella!" Nick exclaimed and I started laughing again.

I turned around to look at Alex who was lighting himself a cigarette. I didn't knew he smoked. He caught me staring and chuckled.

"Want one?" He asked and I quickly shook my head.

"No, thank you." I giggled. "If you don't know already I'm the innocent nerd here."

"Oh shit yes! My bad." Alex chuckled and pushed me again.

"Stop it Alexander!" I exclaimed and tried to ran back to Jamie, Nick and Matt but he grabbed my hand.

"I bought you these." He grinned and handed me a bag of strawberry laces. I chuckled and looked back at him before I opened it.

"Thank you, I thought you forgot." I smirked.

He shrugged and took a puff from his cig and blew the smoke in the opposite direction, making sure I won't smell it.

"So you're going alone tomorrow and we just meet there?" Alex asked and I nodded.

"I have something to do before, so yes. At 5 right?"

"Mhm.." Alex nodded and took one lace.

"Hey! Stop!" I exclaimed laughing. Before I could've said anything else he hindered me and I fell on the grass laughing. I grabbed his hand and he fell as well, next to me.

"You're mean." I chuckled. We stayed in a comfortable silence, our faces slowly getting closer and closer without even realising.

"Bella! Alex!" Jamie shouted and we turned around to look at them.

I chuckled again and stood up, quickly walking towards the boys. "Can you believe that he made me fell?"

"He's a dickhead." Nick chuckled.

"I'm going to ask Katie to go at prom with me." Jamie grinned and Matt and Alex started laughing.

"The prom is literally next summer. And it's November." Matt said and I chuckled.

"She seems lovely. I wish someone liked me as much as you like her." I said and patted his shoulder.

"Yeah.." Alex mumbled from behind me.

"Shut up Matt! Yer just jealous of me having Katie. Well I don't have her yet but shut up!" Jamie exclaimed and Matt started laughing.

"Sure, sure." Matt chuckled.

It was already dark outside and we walked towards our houses. I actually loved them so much, even though they are crazy.

I was behind the boys now and stopped walking just to tie my laces. I heard some whistles and turned around.

"What's up baby?" A drunk man who looked like he was over 30 asked and walked closer to me.

"Please go away." I said and felt my hands shaking.

"Come on, a little bit of fun won't hurt." He smirked and placed one hand on my shoulder.

"What the fuck?" Alex exclaimed from behind.

He quickly pushed the man away and wrapped one hand around my back and pulled me closer to him.

"Who are you?" The man asked laughing.

"Erm.. Her.. Her boyfriend." Alex said and I widened my eyes. "Now piss off before I punch you."

"Wow I'm so scared!" The man slurred before he started walking in the opposite direction.

"Fuck, are you okay belly? Did he made something to you? I'm so fucking sorry for leaving you behind, I should've waited." Alex quickly said and cupped my cheeks.

"Alex! I'm okay. Promise." I grinned. "Thank you."

I pulled him into a hug and he held me tight. "Boyfriend? Really?" I joked and we started walking towards the boys.

"Not a bad idea." Alex chuckled and I hit his arm gently. "Kidding!"

"I hate these kind of people!" I groaned. "Why would you do something like this to a girl?"

"I don't know.." Alex said quietly and wrapped his hand around my shoulders. "I'm sorry, again. I feel so bad for leaving you behind belly."

"Alex, I already told you it's okay." I assured him. "Thank you for walking me home." I grinned and kissed his cheek.

"Tomorrow at 5?" Alex asked and I turned around before I opened the door.

"Five! Yes!" I nodded and he started laughing and walked over to his house.

I leaned on the doorframe and stared at him smiling. He turned around and waved at me before he got inside.

"Bella? What are you doing?" My mom asked me and I quickly closed the door and turned around.

"Hm? I got back from school." I said and she nodded.

"You're still going out with the boys tomorrow?" My mom asked quietly and I nodded.

"Yes mom. And no, there's nothing between me and Alex." I said and she chuckled.

"I know sweetheart, I know." My mom nodded and hugged me. "He seems like a good guy, I like him."

"He is." I nodded smiling. "Dorothy is lucky."

"You know that me and Alex's mom are friends now?" My mom asked me and I chocked on my water.

"What? Really?" I asked.

"Yeah, I invited Penny and David over for dinner on Sunday." She informed me and I nodded.

"That's nice." I said and walked over to my room. "I'm going to make my homeworks!" I lied.

I quickly ran upstairs and checked my closet for a dress. God, this was impossible. I wish I wasn't the innocent sister but here I am.

I grabbed a white dress and a pair of black high heels and placed them on the window bench and quickly washed my hair.

Even if it's been a week, I can't stop thinking about our kiss. But it was probably something meaningless for him.

I got a text and quickly opened my phone.

"Good night:)" Alex said and I started smiling like an idiot.

"can't wait to see u tomorrow <3"
