20. Suck it and see

Summer. Me and the boys graduated last week and we planned to spend our summer together. That's before they got informed that they are leaving on a tour. I couldn't express in words how happy I was for them.

Prom was also in two days and Jamie finally asked Katie to go with him.

I put on a white skirt, a pair of black converse and a tight violet tank top with noodle arms. I quickly ran downstairs and kissed Violet's head before I left. Alex was already waiting for me and I just smiled and kissed him.

"I missed you." Alex said smiling and removed his sunglasses.

"You saw me yesterday." I giggled. "Let's go."

We went to a lake, and the view was gorgeous. It was extremely hot outside for some reasons.

We spent the whole day acting like two small kids. We sat down on the grass, my head placed on his chest as our fingers were interlocked above us.

"I love you." Alex said and I turned around to look at him.

"I love you too." I said smiling.

"I can't believe that we're going on a tour." Alex said.

"I can't wait to see you all on big stages!" I exclaimed smiling and pecked his lips.

He pushed me off and I fell on the grass, laughing. He quickly ran away and I started laughing even more. I ran after him and jumped on his back as he spun around slowly.

After a while we bought ice creams and Alex almost fell in the lake when I pushed his ice cream directly in his nose.

We sat down besides a big tree, and we just smiled at each other. I sat down between his legs and he silvered his hands around my waist. I kissed him and opened my bag and pulled out a book.

"Are you seriously going to read now?" Alex groaned and I chuckled.

"Yes. The sunset is pretty." I said.

"What does it have to do with it?" He asked and I rolled my eyes.

"Just shut up and pay attention to this." I said and he chuckled and handed me a can.

"Dandelion and burdock." He said and I nodded and took a sip. "I'm all ears love." He said and I cleared my throat.

"That's beautiful." He said.

He listened carefully as I was reading the poem quietly.

"I wanna be your electric meter
I will not run out
I wanna be the electric heater

Deep as the deep Atlantic ocean
That's how deep is my devotion."

"Wow, that was fucking beautiful." Alex said and I turned around to look at him. "You have to read to me more often."

"Of course I will, my baby boy." I said and cupped his cheeks.

"Why the fuck it started to rain?" Alex groaned and I chuckled. "Let's go."

We both got up and quickly ran, hand in hand, towards his car. Our clothes and hair were already wet. We quickly got in and started laughing.
