Eccentrically, they let me go, free of any heinous crime. The way they behaved, I was sure I'd be charged with murder, extortion, and every crime possible.

But I wasn't and that made me extremely dubious. I scamper back to my house, wanting to get away from that execrable place.

I reach my home and latch all doors. I tick the lock, again and again, to make sure I am safe. My anxiety getting the worst out of me.

But what protection can these wooden doors offer?

A gut feeling arises, warning me that I'll never be safe. As long as I reside in this wicked town.

I pack all the essentials and stuff them in my duffel bag, carrying a heavy load can prove to be endangering, especially if I need to run.

I get a taxi that leaves me at the nearest bus station. The bus will arrive 10 minutes from now in and I'll be free.

The darkness of the night grows and loneliness seeps in. Before I stepped into this town, I had my parents with me, I had a life filled with happiness and now that I'm leaving, I have none of that. It feels like I lost everything to this town. My helplessness is suffocating me. My heart wants to let out screams of all the injustices done, but people of Oizys are deaf which is turning me, unwillingly, mute.

My train of thoughts is broken by the bus engine. Sharp lights fall on my orbs and my gaze narrows down. I get on the bus with shaky hands and take the back seat.

The frigid atmosphere of the dusk heightens.

I close my eyes and let the eternal silence of the night take over. I am welcomed by perpetual peace but alas even that is short-lived.

The bus comes to a sudden halt and I hear noises.

" The bosses are looking for a girl. She is 18 and a brunette. Probably trying to leave the town. I need to check your bus. " A rough voice grumbles.

" Man I'm already behind schedule. She's probably not on this bus. " The driver states, trying to get done with his shift as fast as possible.

" What if she is? Do you take the responsibility then? Elijah is mad-furious over this girl. You better not interfere. " The man warns, their voices now growing in the silence.

A little rustling going in in the bus. The passengers now awake from a deep slumber.

I get vigilant in their conversation. They're talking about me!

" I'm not taking responsibility for shit! They'd tear me from limb to limb if the girl is on my bus and getaways. Inspect every nook man, and take your time. " The man cavils.

Shit! There goes my chance of escape. The henchman of the Stanley Twins finally gets on the bus and starts scanning each passenger.

Before he can make way to the back, I flee from the rear door.

As soon as I dash, the man gets aware of my identity.

He hastes behind me, and my small legs are no match to this trained man.

" Fucking stop you little shit. Once I get my hands on you, I'm to beat the shit out of you so you better stop. " The man warns yet I pay no heed to his phrases.

I see a small amount of traffic and run in between the cars. The man in a rush to grab me extends his hands, but before he can grab me, he is knocked over by a car.

He falls on the ground, immobile. I take that as my chance to run.

I do not try to get out of the town as I conclude that many people are guarding the exits.
