Trees and bushes surrounded you as you stepped deeper into the woods.
Everyone in your class was pretty much walking in a line while moving forward between all the natural grounds.
The destination was a facility the school had provided for your class.
This one week training trip had the purpose of enhancing your quirks even further.Your homeroom teacher was leading the class at the top of the line and you were following right behind him, watching his every move.
"I doubt that there'll be times where we can be alone while on this trip..." You turned your head to loock at your classmates and sighed.
The room you were going to stay in, was a big shared room for every girl in this class. The boys were also staying in another room. Not that you didn't want to be in the same room with the girls, you actually wanted to spend time with Shota when you didn't have to be with your classmates. But looking at it, there was not going to be a chance where you could do that.
Finally at the goal, you headed inside and once you found the girl's room, you all entered and put down your belongings.
The moment you had arrived at the facility, Shota had said, that once everyone had put down their things, they were to immediately come out again, since training was about to start. Of course, after changing your clothes into the gym clothes."Now, let's get to training." Shota commanded and lazily waved his hand, signaling that you had to go over to the place you were going to exercise the training. It was a huge ground that was free of trees and bushes near the inn.
And so the training started. After training and eating your lunch, you and your classmates went for a walk around the forest.
Your mind trailed off while you were thinking that this was a chance to be with Shota.Just as you were snapping out of your thoughts, you looked around you. But no one was in sight. Not a single classmate could be captured by your eyes.
Totally alone, you stood at your current spot as if rooted to the ground and observed your surroundings for a while.
Then you took a 180 degree turn and started going straight. "This must be the way back since I should have come from this direction." was what you thought. Well, you thinking wrong.
Even after you walked for what felt like half an hour, no facility came to sight. Just trees and bushes everywhere.
You gulped. "How the hell did it come to this? How exactly did I get lost?"
But you had to admit the fact that you were lost, even though it was somewhat embarrassing for you.
"If only I was able to levitate..."
.
.
.
All of a sudden, it felt as if something great was about to come creep up into your mind. You had almost put all the scattered pieces in your head together but the final thought could not be proceeded because it got interrupted by a rustle that came from the bushes.Your immediately looked over to find the source of the noise and your eyes caught a very familiar figure.
Upon recognising the person, you ran to him without a second thought and he welcomed you with open arms.
"How did you managed to get lost?" You buried your face in his chest for a short while before you looked up to see Shota's face.Right then, you felt something plop on your face. It was wet and immediately ran down, leaving a trace on your skin. You used the back of your hand to wipe away the water left on you.
Only now did you notice that your surroundings were pretty dark due to the sky being covered in thick, black clouds which were leaving not a single sunshine through to shine on earth.
And then it started to pour. The rain was coming down as if a bucket got thrown on those woods where you were right now, dropping thick, heavy raindrops on you two.
And to make things worse, lightning struck the sky, making it seem as if it tore the atmosphere for a split second. An ear-piercing thunder followed right after."We're quite deep in the woods so we should take shelter somewhere. I think there's a cave nearby. Let's look for it." Shota had to shout even though he was right next to you, because his voice got lost under the raging thunder and the rain that just pattered down on you.
So you searched for the mentioned cave and when you found it, you hurried inside.Once you were safe from the rain, you looked at yourselves.
You were as wet as you could be. Your shoes were squelched, your clothes were sticking on your body and your hair was in your face. Shota was in the same state.
"Let's stay here until the rain stops." Shota suggested and you could only agree to this. After a while, you could feel a wave of coldness overcome your body which caused it to reflectively shake like crazy as you leaned on the walls of the cave. The wind that blew through the cave made it even worse.
You slid down the wall and hugged yourself in an attempt to keep your body warm. But it didn't help much. A sneeze was unavoidable.
That was when you heard a small ruffle from beside you. When you looked at Shota, you saw him taking off his jacket and before you could say anything, he had already wrapped it around your body.
At first you wanted to refuse and give it back to him but he suddenly slipped behind you and hugged you tightly. For a few minutes, all that could be heard was the storm that raged outside before you suddenly began to giggle and said, "It doesn't really help if you're wet from head to toe yourself."
Shota also let out a short, deep and throaty chuckle. "Well that's true. But it's more comfortable for you than to lean on the wall."
He sure was sweet to you. "It sure is."
You leaned backwards and enjoyed being in his embrace. "I could stay like this forever."
"Well, I'd also love to do that but once the storm ceases, we should head back or else they might catch up on something."
"Mhm"You blinked open your eyes and were confused because of your unknown surroundings.
"The rain's let up." Shota's soft, deep voice sounded from behind you.
It took you a while to realize your current situation and location.
Sounds of falling rain had faded and the gray clouds had disappeared, giving you a clear view of the blue sky.
That was when you stood up and Shota did the same.
You stretched your limbs, which had gone stiff from all the sitting and hardly moving your body for almost an hour, before you walked to the open.
The once gloomy sky, showed a clear blue one now and the sun revealed itself, shining ever so strong.
All traces of the storm that had fumed an hour ago, were now gone, except the nature that still remained wet and damp from the sudden shower. Some small or large puddle had formed on the ground everywhere your eyes could reach.Your mind trailed off as you just stared to the distance. But you could still hear your boyfriend say something to you. "(Y/N) look up, there's a rainbow. It's beautiful."
So you looked up just as he had said and wanted to search the sky for the said rainbow.
But you weren't able to do it.
Because the moment you put your head on your neck, you felt a peck on your lips.
Next thing you knew was, that you blinked into your boyfriend's satisfied face, which was only a few inches away from yours.
He had used the opportunity to kiss you. And it was not that you didn't like it, you were just surprised because you weren't expecting it at all.
Seeing your blank face made Shota chuckle and you soon smiled, taking his hand and squeezing it."We should get going now." You could only agree because it was for the best. The others might worry since you disappeared after all.
You two went separate ways to go back, once Shota told you the way back to the facility."Wait.... didn't I think about something before all of this happened?" While on your way back, you pondered about what it might have been.
But you didn't bother to think about it again and so you just brushed it off and quickened your steps to reach your destination.
