The long-awaited day had finally come: It was the day of your class trip to Hakuba, located in Nagano.
You had been looking forward for this trip for a long time but now that you were standing at the train station, you had little desire to go now.
The very moment that you had reached the train tracks that would move you closer to your wanted destination, you plopped down onto an empty seat. Apart from your class and homeroom teacher, there were almost no other people on the tracks. But it was no wonder, considering that it wasn't even 5 in the morning.
You felt sleepy from having woken up just an hour ago, so you couldn't help but sit down and close your eyes in order to rest, even if it was only for a few minutes. But apart from your expectations, only a few seconds were granted for you. Almost right after you had sat down, Shouta's deep voice was echoing through the hall.

"Please gather around so I can check attendance." You couldn't help but groan as you struggled to open your eyes and then stand up to move closer to your teacher. In a matter of seconds, the students were gathered around their teacher and he wasted no time to start the roll call. It took a while for him to call the last name and the final "Here!" got shouted and as if on cue, the train arrived not long after and so everyone got ready to hop in the large train.
During those few minutes, the station had gradually gotten filled with a little more people and counting in those who were already in the train, you couldn't say that the train was relatively empty. After having dragged your body and suitcase into the train, you plopped down onto the next best seat and it didn't take you long to doze off again.

You woke up, but this time you felt more refreshed than when you had woken up this morning. As you gradually noticed that you were leaning to the side, you sat upright and stretched your arms into the air. Or at least that was what you had intended to do with your arms. You couldn't do it because something heavy was weighing down your left hand. After having taken a quick glance to your left, you spotted Shouta sitting next to you. That was when you realised that the you had tightly wrapped your hand around Shouta's as you felt his palm against your own.

It was only now that you noticed that there were people sitting in the two once empty seats in front of you, and upon realising that, your gaze quickly steered in between you and Shouta. But you could mentally let out a relieved sigh once you saw that Shouta and you holding hands was cleverly covered by your boyfriend's coat, making it look as if the two of you were just resting your arms on the armrest.
Still, you nervously glanced at the elderly people in front of you to confirm if they really hadn't seen you holding hands, but to your relief it didn't seem as if they had noticed anything. And so, as to not raise any suspicions, you casually looked out the window to appreciate the beautiful scenery of.... countless bricks of a tunnel. With the change of scenery, the lights turned on, not leaving you in darkness.

Since you felt awkward to keep looking out the window, you decided to fish out your phone with your free hand and look at the display instead. But fortunately, it wasn't long until the train arrived at the next stop and the two people in front of you stood up to leave once the vehicle came to a halt. You were lucky that it wasn't full and the seats in front of you remained empty when the train departed.

When you detected movements from your side, you whipped your head to see Shouta looking straight at you. And with a whisper, his low voice reached you.
"If it wasn't me who had sat down next to you..." Shouta stopped mid-sentence and you saw a shadow get thrown over his eyes. But you didn't have to wait for very long until he finished his sentence. "... Would you have grabbed another person's hand?"
Your mouth automatically went agape from the surprise as you hadn't expected him to say this at all. At this very moment, you did your best to hide the smile that threatened to creep up onto your lips. A wave of the urge to tease him washed over you and you couldn't help but smirk while saying, "Maybe? Maybe not? I don't know. I was asleep after all." As you quietly said that, you peered at his face to get his reaction. But you weren't able to see that because Shouta suddenly leaned closer to you until he had reached your right ear to whisper in an even lower tone, "We can't have that, can we? Guess I'll have no choice but to sit next to you every time we travel somewhere."
You slightly weighed your head left and right as if thinking about something but once you stopped moving, a grin appeared on your face. "I have no objection on that." And so, you two remained like this; both your hands intertwined and almost unmoving. Unlike the cold-looking scenery outside, which was a landscape covered in snow, warmth was spreading from your hand to every part of your body.
.
.
"That reminded me of the training camp back then. You also grabbed my hand in your sleep and didn't want to let go..." His eyes lowered down to the coat where your intertwined hands were right beneath. "But I think your grip was even stronger this time..."
You arched an eyebrow at him. "Eh? Really?..." The smirk on your lips grew wider. "Maybe this time, my body automatically knew that it was you and didn't want to let go of your hand." You threw your Shouta a quick wink. No comment came from your boyfriend and as he remained silent, he turned his head to look straight ahead. But as his side profile was facing you, you saw that the corner of his mouth was slightly raised.

You had finally arrived at the village surrounded by nature covered in snow: Hakuba
Even though this was a popular tourist spot, you all didn't come all this way to play. Class 2-A was here to do "hero work", meaning that you were to surveillance the wide ski area for the next week to come. Reason for that was because there had been a strange raise of villainous activities around here, so the residents had asked for some help and the 2-A students of UA were selected to go and take care of it.
But you knew that this didn't mean that you wouldn't have time to enjoy yourselves at all. Though, you were the only one who knew about it because Shouta had told you about it a day prior.
He had said, that after the class were to have successfully taken care of the problem, the class would be able to use the remaining time to relax and have fun.
