Shota's voice boomed in your ear, "Please be careful on your mission." You rolled your eyes - you had heard that phrase so many times before. You couldn't help but snap back, "You've told me that a thousand times already. How many more times are you going to say it?" His response was immediate, "Until you're sick of it." You could feel your frustration boiling over, and you pleaded with him to stop. But his answer was steady, "No." His commitment to your safety was evident in his voice, and you couldn't help but feel grateful for such a supportive partner. Though you were annoyed, you couldn't help but chuckle at his stubbornness. "You just said something different," you muttered under your breath but you knew that his concern for your safety was unwavering.

As you let out a sigh, you felt the warmth of your boyfriend's embrace, his arms tightly wrapped around you from behind. You appreciated his concern for you, but ever since you had received notification about your upcoming mission, Shota had become overly protective. Trying to ease his worries, you said, "Let's not think about the mission. Either way, I look forward to the trip." You then nudged your head against his chest before putting it on your neck to look up. However, all you could see was Shota's chin. Upon seeing his bearded chin, you got an idea. You stretched your neck until you were close enough to his face that your lips could touch his skin. You rested your lips on his chin for a while before pulling away. With a smirk, you turned your head to see his face. It was immediately evident that he wasn't expecting this; he just sat and stared, frozen for a moment, before his eyes slowly moved down to look at you. His slightly raised eyebrows gave away his surprise, and you grinned even wider. But what you didn't expect was that Shota would make a "counterattack".

Your boyfriend lowered his head and put his lips to yours. You felt yourself melting.
He had become more daring and naughtier since you had regained your memories.
You sighed into the kiss as you felt a tingle course through your whole body, starting from your lips. The kiss lasted like this for a few more seconds, before both of you pulled away due to the lack of oxygen.
You held him close to your body as you mumbled, "I can't guarantee that I won't get hurt during my work. But I'll do my best to fulfill my duty as a hero. Also, I could say the same to you." Shota looked at you with a questioning gaze, so you quickly dissolved his confusion. "That time, when you got seriously injured from that nemu in the USJ incident." A sense of realization flashed through his face as he now understood what you had meant and you continued, "You know... when I saw you there, laying in the hospital bed all wrapped up with bandages, I felt bad and sad. Now I realized, that what I felt was that I hated seeing you hurt this badly."
You reached up and your fingers touched his face. Your fingertips were gliding over his skin until they stumbled upon the scar under Shota's right eye. But then you retracted your hand and sighed with a smile while shaking those thoughts out of your mind.

You grabbed his hands and said, "But you know... we chose to be heroes. We chose to go down this path. And that's why we're here right now. You being a full pro hero and me, still kinda freshly starting as a hero." He wrapped his arms around your waist, squeezing and pulling you even closer to him. "That's right. And that's how we met. Because we both chose the path to be a hero." You nodded in response before giving him a stern look. "And I know how you perceive the duty of pro heroes. You can't go back on your words now just to keep me from getting hurt. More than that, think of the positive sides. Isn't it great that I didn't get more wounds or seriously injured? Small wounds heal quickly as if they have never been there. Also, all the critical wounds I got in the past are long healed. That's why I'm now here, still fully healthy, aren't I?"

When you had asked the last question, you grabbed your boyfriend's head and moved his face closer to yours, forcing him to look you in the eyes. A half-smirk appeared on his face, seemingly agreeing to your little speech.
"Let's go to sleep now." He pressed his lips against your forehead before mumbling, "I'm looking forward to tomorrow."
"Me too."
