"Your acting was terrible. I hope no one has caught on while watching this." Shota was referring to the talk show he had just finished watching with you a few seconds ago. You lightly hit him on his arm. "I wasn't that bad, okay?"
You already knew which part of the show he meant with his statement. It was the moment you got asked if you had a boyfriend.
"And I was surprised! I didn't think they would ask me something like this!" you defended yourself while you continued to lightly hit Shota's arm with your fists. Eventually, he caught your hands with ease and pulled you forward so you were now laying with your stomach on his lap. You felt his hand on your head, massaging you. His tone was now different from just a second ago. It was now more calm as he said the opposite of what he had stated before. "Don't worry love, you did great." You whirled around to face him with a grin.
"You sure have become popular." Shota stated as he put on a playfully sulky face which made you giggle. Then you reached out to touch his face. "No matter how popular I'll become, I'll always only have eyes just for you." You proceeded to kiss his cheek.

When you pulled back, you saw that the corners of his lips had curled up into a secretive smile and there were no traces of his sulkiness anymore.
"By the way, I have a surprise for you and also the whole class." He slowly drew small circles with his thumb on your shoulder as he continued. "Do you want to know what it is beforehand? Though, you'll eventually get to know it in a few weeks if not now."
Whatever it was, you weren't sure if you wanted to know about it now or later. After pondering about it for a few seconds, you decided to just get to know it with your classmates, so you rejected Shota's offer.

Shota leaned in close - and pinched your nose. "Alright then, whatever you want." You held your nose, which he had just pinched, and followed Shota with your eyes as he stood up to feed Kuro.

~ A few weeks later ~

In the middle of the last class, the homeroom teacher of class 1A suddenly pulled out a stack of papers and put them on the teacher's desk before looking at the teenagers and resting his arms on the edges of the desk.
"I have an announcement to make..." After a short break, which seemed to be due to his laziness, he continued, "Our class was selected to be part of a safety program on a remote island." Hearing his first sentence on that matter had the class in an uproar. You, on the other hand, weren't as surprised, because you had known that something was to happen soon since Shota had mentioned it before. But it didn't mean that you weren't feeling any excitement at all as you were quite pleased by the news.

After telling you guys the name of the island, Shota handed you all the additional information about the trip.  "The trip will be in a few months, so get ready by then. We also informed your guardians already." With this, he ended the lesson and everyone was chatting away about the upcoming trip while walking out of the classroom.

"So that was the surprise you were talking about." When it was just you and Shota in your room again, you eyed him with a smile while referring to what he had mentioned some weeks before. "Yeah. But I believe that you'll do great there. Though, it'll take a while until the trip will happen though, so until then, you have to train more to be prepared." You nodded with a determined mindset.

"Let's go on a date." Shota suggested out of the blue. You were happy to have another date with Shota and immediately proposed the soonest date for you to go out with him. "This weekend?" He cradled your face. "Sounds good." You were more than delighted to have planned your second date with him.
"But remember to dress up a little bit disguised. There's now a bigger chance of people recognizing you on the streets since you were on TV." You rested your forehead on Shota's chest while saying, "I do hope that no one will disturb our date."
Shota then embraced you with his large arms and pulled you down under the bed covers. You immediately understood that he wanted to go to sleep now and snuggled up to him with your eyes closed.

"Wait..."
"Hm?" Shota's low voice made it easier to fall asleep with every second but you fought your drowsiness as you continued.
"Someone has to put out the lights."
No one moved or made another sound for some seconds.
After another few heartbeats, you decided to be the one to turn off the lights, so you slipped out of bed, rushed to the light switch to turn off the lights, and then quickly raced back to the comfortable zone. Now you could fall asleep with Shota.
