"... (Y/N)?"

"(Y/N)!"

You jumped and before you even realized it, you looked right at the face of Hanazono. "Are you feeling alright? You haven't been listening to me at all.", Hanazono had a strange expression on his face, "Is there something that's bothering you?"

This boy was really sweet. But he was too good for you.
"Ryu... You know... I-" You got interrupted by the school bell in which Hanazono stood up but still looked at you, awaiting for you to complete your sentence.
But now you somehow couldn't say it anymore and you just said, "Just forget it. It's nothing important."
The both of you walked to your classroom and the usal daily lesson began.

- After Class -

Hanazono and you were walking next to each other toward your dorm, just like usual. The atmosphere was heavy and you knew the reason for it. Along the walk on the side of the path, Hanazono stopped and so did you.
There was still silence between you two. But moments later, it got broken by Hanazono as he began to talk.
"(Y/N)... You know..." his gaze was directed to the ground, "Let's break up."
"I know that you don't love me. So I'm really sorry that you had to force yourself to date me. I mean, you were always thinking about something else, everytime you were with me, you know?..."

At that moment, you knew that what had he said was true.
You wanted to cry but you didn't, because you knew that it was your fault. You shouldn't have dated him in the first place. Because of this, you hurt his feelings.
You knew that you weren't loving him; that he wasn't the right one for you. Because there already was someone else inside your heart. It was your crush, the crush that began not too long ago. Your crush on your teacher.
"But... if this really is just a crush... then why do I still think of him?" All this time, you couldn't get him out of your head. There were even times, where you didn't even noticed that you had thought about him. And this feeling that you get every time you thought about him.
"Could this be..." It wasn't a simple crush anymore. You were in love with him, your homeroom teacher.

"I'm sorry..." your voice cracked a little as you said that. "Dont be. We just weren't meant to be.", Hanazono began to turn away from you, "Goodbye."
You watched his back as he got further and further away from your sight. The moment he wasn't visible to you anymore, you walked into your dorm, straight to your room. There, you couldn't help but break up into tears.
