At this very moment, you were walking through the streets of the city.
But you weren't there with the purpose of going shopping; no not at all. You were in your hero costume and fully equipped with your weapons.
The reason for you being here, was because an agency had requested your help on a mission to patrol a five story department store. They had received a threat a few days ago and were searching for available heroes. Since you were one of those free heroes, and they also looked through your past activities, they chose you with the other ones.
So along with pro heroes and the police, you were now strolling around the building you were supposed to protect, looking out for any suspicious people.
A voice sounded right inside your ear through an earpiece. "How is it looking at your side? Something suspicious on your end Blood Rose?"
"Everything's fine so far.", you responded, "There's nothing out of the ordinary."
The one you were talking with right now, was the pro hero who was in charge of the operation.
That peaceful state stayed for a long time. But that didn't mean forever.

Almost an hour had passed and that was when everything started.
It seemd that someone had managed to sneak in unnoticed probably by pretending to be a normal citizen and once they were inside, they started to cause a commotion.
You had been ordered to head inside and check that everything was all right, long before the danger was noticed.

So you quickly and casually walked inside the building with the crowd that entered and looked out for suspicious people or movements.
But when you only took a few steps inside, the pro hero's voice, you were connected with your earpiece, sounded once again. This time, his voice was agitated which made you feeling alarmed.
"Everyone who's nearby, head to the third floor of the department store this instant! There seems to be something out of the ordinary. Some of you should stay outside around the building and surround it!" You quickly followed his command and ran up the stairs with your fastest speed while you listened to the rest of his orders and explanation.

There were a lot of people gathered on this floor, so you could slip in between them to get closer to the cause of the commotion.
No one, neither the heroes nor the police was in sight, so you concluded that you were the only one who had arrived here.

The commotion the man had started was not something that could be treated lightly. He was threatening to blow up a bomb if someone were to come near him or if they wanted to escape. And that was not the only thing he did. He even held a small kid captive and also threatened to kill the child with a knife.

"What a rotten thing to do. What even is his goal?" Your eyes never left the man to inspect his every movement in case he was about to do something.
The bomb he had spoken of, was right next to his feet and he held the detonator in his hand while his arm is tightly wrapped around the kid, not having any intention to let the small boy go.
You went every possible scenario in your head and quickly planned the best possible move you could make right now.

Then you took action. First, you froze the movements of the man and at the same time, you pulled out two bottles of your contained blood, aimed and tossed them toward the villain. You had thrown them in an angle that they were to collide when they almost reached the man while in the air.
Once the two bottles came into contact, they broke and your blood got released, making you able to control your blood as you wished.
As soon as they came into contact with the air, you manipulated your blood and made them hit the detonator and the knife away from his hands.
But of course while doing all that, you ran towards him and tried to separate him and the kid. But just as you almost got a hold of the child, something unexpected happened.

Loud noises were coming from the door you had also used to enter this room and pro heroes popped up. It only took them a second to understand the situation and as they did, they rushed to you and tried to restrain the villain just like you while some of them also began to evacuate the crowd of people.
It seemd that the appearance of them surprised the villain and you quickly used this oppurtunity to reach out for the child again. That was of no use though because a strong force, which was wind, appeared out of nowhere. "Is this his quirk?"
This strong wind formed a tornado, which made the glass of the windows all around you scatter.
"I should've found out his quirk first..."  you regretted as you had no other choice but to cover your face with your arms in order to not get anything in your eyes. But you still peeked through in between your arms and what you saw decided your next action without really thinking it through.

Seeing as wicked as he was, the villain suddenly pushed the kid he was holding, out the building. It all happened too fast, so you couldn't use your solidification quirk on him to prevent him from doing it. And so you gathered all of your strength and hit him with an uppercut instead. Once he was out cold, the wind that had raged in here, slowly faded.
Without a second thought, you stormed to the window. You could just barely grab the little boy on his t-shirt and throw him back into the building. But you yourself lost your balance and so you fell out of the building instead of the boy. And it all happened in a matter of seconds.

Blue

That was the last thing you saw. It was the bright blue colour of the clear sky without a single cloud.
