It was late at night but you were still up in a room that was not yours.
Darkness surrounded you but there was light just a few meters in front of you.
You sat on the floor, back leaned on the wall and wrapped in a blanket.
Someone was sitting at a desk where the light was coming from.

It was pretty quiet except for faint clicking sounds that were constantly echoing through this room. You stared at the head of the person who caused this noise for a while before your glance shifted away and to the digital clock next to the person that showed a time when you had normally already been asleep by then.

This room had been so unfamiliar when you had entered it for the first time this night. But you quickly got used to it as a familiar scent lingered in this room. A scent you knew all too well.

"Shota?" you mumbled as you rubbed your eyes with the back of your right hand. The clicking sounds stopped abruptly and as he swiveled around to look at you, a quiet squeaking noise accompanied his movements.
"What's wrong love? Do you need something?" Since you felt drowsy from staying up so late, you only managed to get out an 'mhm'. Shota, who realized your sleepiness, then said, "You can go ahead and sleep, love." But you were stubborn. "I'll go to bed when you're finished." you mumbled, barely audible but enough for him to hear. Shota sighed and responded, "No need to do that. I'm almost done anyway." It took all your strength to answer him with another sleepy 'mhm'.
Since you felt pretty cozy and Shota's voice had such a calming effect on you, you couldn't help but immediately nod off.

A few hours later, you woke up by sensing someone nearing you. Since you had just woken up, you felt really drowsy and couldn't truly perceive that Shota was picking you up and carrying you to the bed. He laid down beside you and wrapped the blanket around the two of you.

All you knew, was that you felt a warmth surrounding you, making you feel safe and sound before you dozed off in the arms of your most beloved person once again.
