The Companion Abu Dharr [رضي الله عنه] was once standing so he sat and then he lied down so it was to said to him
“Oh Abu Dharr, why did you sit and then lie down?”
So he said
“Indeed the Messenger of Allah [ﷺ] said
“If one of you is angry while he is standing let him sit down so his anger will leave him, otherwise, let him lie down.”

Past Scholar Imam Ibnul-'Uthaymin [رحمه ﷲ] said
“It’s not legislated for you to say to the angry person
' Remember Allah' or ' Send salutations upon the Prophet.'
The Sunnah is to tell him:
' Seek refuge in Allah from the Shaytdan (Satan).'”
