REWARD FOR THE PATIENT

💎 ❝Only those who are patient shall receive their rewards in full, without measures.❞ [Al-Qur'aan: Az-Zumar 39:10]

No one can adhere to the love of Allaah except those who are patient and persevering. (As-Sabiroon)

Patience is one of the most important qualities demanded of those who claim to love Allaah, as the degree of patience determines those who are sincere in their claim and those who are not.

Al Hasan Al Basri (رحمه الله) said: "In this world the believer is like a stranger. He does not become upset when the world degrades or humiliates him, nor does he compete with others in chasing after its grandeur. For the people are in one state and the strangers are in a totally different state." [Ahmad, Az-Zuhd P. 321]

The degree of patience needed to endure hardship and difficulties in order to please the Beloved Creator proves the sincerity of one's love. Many claim to love Allaah, but when Allaah tests them with hardships, they forget the true essence of love. No one can adhere to the love of Allaah except those who are patient and persevering (As-Sabiroon). If it were not for the test of hardship and sincerity, there would be no proof of the sincerity of a person's love for Allaah. The one whose love of Allaah is greater, has a greater degree of patience.

Twice they'll be given their reward, for that they have persevered.

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يُؤْتَوْنَ أَجْرَهُم مَّرَّتَيْنِ بِمَا صَبَرُوا۟ وَيَدْرَءُونَ بِٱلْحَسَنَةِ ٱلسَّيِّئَةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ

"These will be given their reward ''twice'' over, because they are patient, and repel evil with good, and spend (in charity) out of what We have provided them." [Al-Qur'aan: Al-Qasas 28:54]
