Chapter 24 Something normal

May 27, 1989 

Saturday had finally came and (Y/n) was enjoying it. Since Maddie is grounded, she had to help do a lot of chores in the house, after she finished she went to hang with Margo and Izzy. Jason was out with his friends, Rebecca went out to do some shopping for herself. Meaning the house is empty. 

Now that the house is empty, Alastor and (Y/n) were playing a jazzy tone with their violins. The house was filled with music as they danced around. The shadow demons even enjoyed in by playing their own instruments or dancing around. As they all played their music together, there was a knock on the door. Alastor used his magic to make his demons to disappear while he hid in the shadows. (Y/n) carefully placed her violin down and went to go answer the door. It was one of her neighbors. 

"Hello, Mrs. Rodriguez. How are you?" (Y/n) greeted her neighbor. 

"Hello, (Y/n). I"m fine, thank you. Sorry if this is short notice, but I was wondering if you could babysit tonight." Mrs. Rodriguez asked. "Our usual babysit called in sick and I know that you babysit some of the other neighborhood children." 

"Well...." (Y/n) turns to see if Alastor is okay with it. He smiled at her and motioned for her to go ahead. She smiled back at him and turned back to Mrs. Rodriguez. "Actually, I'm free now. Sure, I could babysit for you." 

"Great! Thank you so much, (Y/n). My little Robbie just loves it when you come over. You're a real life saver." Mrs. Rodriguez thanked. "Come by the house at 7:00pm, okay." 

(Y/n) nods at Mrs Rodriguez and waved bye. Once she was gone, Alastor came out of the shadows. "I suppose we could use a break from your training for today." 

"Is that okay with you, Alastor?" (Y/n) asked. Alastor nods. "Why, of course! I need to get to hell to meet up with an old friend anyway." Alastor told her to get the mirror he gave her. She followed his instruction and went to retrieve it. She brings him the mirror and showed her how to use it one more time before he would return to hell. 

"Now, just concentrate and I'll be able to see you through any mirror I'm closes too." Alastor instructed. (Y/n) closed her eyes and chanted a spell silently. Alastor goes to a mirror on a wall and it work! Alastor could see (Y/n) through her mirror. She joked around by waving at him from her mirror. Alastor chuckles and waved back. 

"Now that you have a way to communicate with me while I'm away, you have your day off to do whatever you please. I'll see you soon, my dear." Alastor snapped his fingers and left for hell. (Y/n) checked the clock and saw that she had some time to kill before she could babysit. She went to her room and dug through her drawer. She found her bag of quarters she was saving for the local arcade. 

(Y/n) made it to the arcade and began to play as many games as she could. She would feel proud of the many high scores she could achieve from the games. She collected multiple tickets for the prizes. After collecting enough tickets she got her prizes for two plushes and some candy. She checked her bag and saw that she had a few left over coins for one more game. She went to go to favorite game of all time. It was the dance machine. She puts in her coins and puts the game into single player mode. She choose her song and began to dance. She always enjoyed this came. It has her favorite song while she danced to the beat. In a matter of minutes, she beaten her last high score. Like always, she had the highest score. She inserted her nickname as her score is placed on the very top of the single player list. She smiled at her score, but it quickly went away when she saw the highest score on the multi player screen. It was her score and Shannon's. (Y/n) smiled softly at the screen as she remembered the very day that they both achieve the highest score together.
