Chapter 27 He needs another lesson

June 4, 1989

(Y/n) was with her friends as they were walking around town. They decided to get some ice cream and continue to plan on what to do for their summer break. As they were ordering their ice cream, they were discussing on what events are coming to their little town in (insert state). 

"I can't for summer break!" Rosa squeals. "Me too! I can't to do some things together!" Zoe smiles. "Along with doing fun things together, I also have plans with my mom and brother." (Y/n) ate her ice cream. "Same here, I have plans with my family." Heather said. "That boy that asked me out for some summer romance." Lily blushed. "Whoa! Go, Lily!" Jenny cheered. Lily blushed more at the other girls were laughing. They were gushing on how Lily was the first to get a date before them. They added to their list that they will help Lily get ready for her date in the summer. They continued their chat together as they continued to eat their delicious frozen treats. 

Before they could continue their chat, they heard someone complaining. 

"I'm asking you nicely to leave me alone." A female worker said. "Come on, babe. You know you want it, you just don't know it." A familiar voice said. (Y/n) and her friends to see it was Luis harassing a female worker. (Y/n) groans as she rolled her eyes. "Great, it's Luis." 

"You know that guy, (Y/n)?" Heather asked. "Yep, that's Luis. He goes to Crypt Hills High with my big brother, but the guys is too full of himself. I mean look at him." (Y/n) pointed at Luis flirting with more female workers. 

"Dude, for the last time. Leave us alone!" A female worker said. "Come on, I know you girls dig me." Luis flirts. 

"Didn't the ladies say to leave them alone, Luis?" (Y/n) stood up from her seat. "(N/n), what are you doing?" Jenny asked. 

"Well what do you know. You're Jason's little sister. Why don't you mind you business because I'm trying to impress these ladies." Luis glared. 

"You impressing them? I think they've been impressed by something cooler than you." (Y/n) crossed her arms. 

"Just shut up, you little bitch!" 

"Calling a 13 year old girl a name like that is very gentleman-like." 

"That's it! I had enough of you and your bastard of a brother-" 

Alastor used his power to make Luis trip over someone's backpack. When Luis collapsed on the floor, he tried to pull himself up by using a table, but he got an ice cream to his face. Everyone was silent at first, until (Y/n) was the first one to laugh and everyone inside followed along. 

"Looks like Karma got to you, Luis." (Y/n) wipes the tears from her eyes when she was laughing so hard. Luis was so embarrassed that he collected his things and ran out. (Y/n) could see Alastor at the corner of her eye. She was glad that he was still hiding in the shadows. He smiled at her as she smiled back at him. Once Luis was gone, (Y/n) and her friends continued to make a long list of their summer plans. 

The sun was beginning to set as (Y/n) and her friends were beginning to part ways. 

"See at school tomorrow, (Y/n)." Zoe waved as the other waved back. "Bye, girls!" (Y/n) walked away. 

Once the coast was clear, (Y/n) hid in the shadows and Alastor stood next to her. Now it was time to get Luis one more time. They spotted Luis walking into an alley as he was taking out a box of cigarette from his sweater pocket. Alastor and (Y/n) nodded each other with bare smiles on their faces.

Luis was lighting his cigarette as he tried to calm himself down from the embarrassing moment that happened at the ice cream shop. He inhales his cigarette and blows out the smoke from his mouth. "That damn brat and her brother. I'm going to get the back one of these days." 

"So you plan to get revenge on me and Jason? That's really funny coming from the guy that failed multiple times." (Y/n) revealed herself. 

"You really are barking up the wrong tree, brat. I will get my revenge on you and Jason." Luis drops his cigarette and steps on it. He pulls out a pocket knife and points it at (Y/n). "Maybe I can start with carving on your face!" Before Luis could move, (Y/n) used her magic to break his arm. Luis dropped his knife and kneels to the floor as he cries in pain. When Luis wasn't looking, Alastor picks up the knife and gives it to (Y/n). She walked towards him and kicks him in the chest. With his back on the floor, (Y/n) steps on his throat, kneels down to him and points the knife to his cheek. "I'll give you one more warning, Luis. Don't go bothering any girls and my big brother ever again. If I heard that you frame my brother one more time, then I'll make you sorry for the rest of your pathetic life." (Y/n) pressed the knife so close to Luis's cheek that a drop of blood spills. She stood up and threw the knife far away from him. "Come on, Alastor. I think he's learned his lesson." (Y/n) walked out first. "Coming, my dear apprentice." Alastor followed. Luis stood up with his elbow to see them walking away, but his vision was so blurry that he could barely see (Y/n) and the man that was next to her, or so he thought. 

'I don't know who that guys was with (Y/n), but I'm getting her back for this.' Luis thought with rage. 

(Y/n) was reading a book with Alastor as he was hiding in the shadows on the living room. They decide to catch up on some chapter before turning in for the day. Suddenly, the phone rang. (Y/n) look up at the clock to see that it was nearly time to get some rest. She even knows that she's seen many horror movies when the phone rings in the middle of the night, but she's been training with Alastor so she's fine. She walks up to the phone and answers. 

(Y/n): Hello? 

Miguel: Hey, (N/n). How you've been? 

(Y/n): Hey, Miguel. I'm pretty good, you?

Miguel: I'm fine, I was actually calling to see if I can talk to Jason.

(Y/n) smiled, she knew that Miguel is trying to patch up his friendship with Jason. 

(Y/n): Sure thing, I'll tell him. 

"Jason! There's someone calling for you!" (Y/n) called out for her brother. She could hear Jason coming down the stairs. "For me?" Jason asked. (Y/n) nods and gives him the phone. 

"Hello?...Miguel? Why are you calling?...Yeah, that day was pretty intense...I'm not mad at you now, but I'm not sure if I can trust you...Yeah we talk later, but its better face-to-face. I still need an explanation on why you went to hang with that asshole...Yeah we can talk then...See you then, man." (Y/n) listen to Jason as he hanged up. 

"Is everything okay, Jason?" (Y/n) asked. 

"Yeah, Miguel wanted to explain why he was hanging with Luis, but I wanted to hear it in person." Jason explains. "I think it's time for bed, you got one more week of school left." Jason ruffles his little sister hair. (Y/n) laughed and went to her room. 

(Y/n) was getting ready for bed as Alastor was looking out the window. "Just one more week of school for you, sweetheart." Alastor turned his attention towards. "I know! Summer vacation is going to be awesome!" (Y/n) smiled. "Yes, it will be a grand summer. Now, it's time for bed. The faster you get to bed, then faster the morning will come." Alastor guided (Y/n) to bed. He tucks her in as she was out as a light. He used his magic to turn off her light and he smiles at his apprentice. 

"I'll help make sure your summer is a grand time, (Y/n)." Alastor promised.
