Chapter 38 I'm always chasing rainbows

Our story begins with the princess of hell as she sings her song of sorrow. As illusions of a human falling from the sky as a rainbow bursts upwards through the clouds as sinners came down.

Charlie: At the end of the rainbow, there's happiness.

And to find it, how often I've tried.

Princess Charlotte, better known as Charlie is seen being told off by her father Then it shows them pointing at Hell as Angels circle around it. A shadow of Lucifer looms over a disappointed Charlie as demonic arms and tentacles cover her.

Charlie: But my life, is a race. Just a wild goose chase.

And my dreams, have all been denied. / Why have I always been a failure?

Then, the Earth rotates as many eyes begin to surround it. After that, Exterminators are seen smiling deviously as they look down upon the souls they have gotten rid of.

Charlie: What can the reason be? / I wonder if the world's to blame.

I wonder if it could be me. 

Now the scene is showing all over hell and signs that say "Fuck You, Heaven", "Punishment" and "Your Days Are Numbered" can be seen. Now Charlie finally heads out from the hotel's balcony as she releases fireworks that signal to the rest of Hell that the extermination has ended.

Charlie: I'm always chasing rainbows. / Watching clouds drifting by.

My schemes are just like all my dreams. / Ending in the sky.

Demons began to check their area if the coast was clear and slowly, everyone was walking out from their hiding places. An Overlord opens the blinds to her room, revealing the display of fireworks. Behind her was a four-eyed Overlord, an Overlord in the shadows that shows her green glowing eye, one more Overlord resembling a humanoid raven as he held a photo of a child close to him, and Lucifer himself hiding in the shadows.

Charlie: Some fellows look and find the sunshine.

I always look and find the rain.

At the Porn Studios, an Overlord named Velvet takes a selfie with another Overlord named Vox. As for another Overlord, Valentino is not amused when he sees that he got a text from a certain employee of his. Two demons check to see if Franklin is still alive and proceed to head off as the cannibals waiting nearby pounce on her dead body. Rosie then crosses out Franklin's name from the sign above their business with glee. Demons everywhere began to go about their day as they either cause more chaos or go whatever business they have. Charlie is seen in tears from today's Extermination day. From the chaos of losing her people. She looks up at the Clock Tower as it resets for next year's Extermination.

Charlie: Some fellows make a winning sometime.

I never even make a gain. / Believe me.

Waiting to find a little bluebird. / In vain.

(Y/n) is seen hiding underneath a desk as she covers her ears from the sound of fireworks going off outside. She could feel her black tears escaping from her eyes. She tried her hardest to keep the tears from falling and tried to muffle the fireworks. (Y/n) felt like her panic attack might happen soon and she was worried that she might do the decay incantation that she has no control over. What she didn't know is that her master found her. He knelt and cupped her face. (Y/n) looks up to see Alastor with a comfortable smile on his face as he uses his thumb to wipe the tears from her eyes. He pointed to his ears to signal her to listen. She did what he showed her. She finally noticed that the fireworks stopped. She takes a deep breath in and lets it all out. (Y/n) smiles back at him as they both exit from their hiding place so they can enjoy another day since the Extermination is all over for this year.
