Charlie thought that (Y/n) has been acting strange these couple of days. She would suddenly leave the Hotel and be gone for hours until the sun was setting. Charlie thought nothing of it at first, but she began to notice that it is happening more often. She decided to talk to Alastor about it. She found him having a drink with Husk.
"Hey, Al. Have you been talking to (Y/n)? I think she's been acting weird. " Charlie asked. "Weird how?" Alastor was a little confused. "I mean that she leaves without telling us where she's going and arrives before the sun goes down," Charlie explains. Alastor smiled as he took a sip of his drink. "Don't worry about it, my dear. My apprentice is a big girl. She can handle herself very well. Besides a lot of demons fear her because of her powers and they know that she is under my protection."
Charlie wanted to continue further, but she noticed (Y/n) leaving. As usual, without telling anyone. Charlie wanted to make sure that (Y/n) was okay she deiced to go follow her. Before she left, she was stopped by Vaggie. "Going out, Hon?" She asked. Charlie explained that she wanted to make sure that (Y/n) was okay, so Vaggie decided to go with Charlie.
(Y/n) was happily walking around Pentagram City as she listened to music with her earbuds in. Charlie and Vaggie were far behind so (Y/n) wouldn't notice them. They saw (Y/n) entering a meat shop. They spied on her through the window. They saw the butcher was terrified to have the apprentice of the Radio Demon in his shop. (Y/n) pointed at the meat she wanted as the butcher quickly prepared it for her. With a shaky hand, he hands (Y/n) the bag as she pays him. Charlie and Vaggie quickly hid when (Y/n) exits the meat shop. She took a small piece of meat and cooks it with her fire. She happily eats it as she continues her walk.
Charlie and Vaggie continued their observation as they followed (Y/n) into an alleyway. Once they walked in, they noticed (Y/n) was gone. "Where did she go?" Vaggie asked as she had her weapon out. "She should be here." Charlie scratched her head in confusion.
"Care to explain why you two decided to follow me?" Charlie and Vaggie were started by (Y/n)'s voice. They looked up to see her sitting on a ledge of the building. Her scythe was at hand as she smirked. Charlie nervously waved at her. "Hey, (Y/n). We just wanted to make sure that nothing happens to you and we wanted to see where you have been going lately." (Y/n) rolled her eyes as she rubbed her temple. "For the hundredth time, Charlie. I can take care of myself. Besides, if I ever need help, I can just call you or anyone with the phone you gave me." She flies down towards them. "As for what I've been up to, why don't you take a look for yourselves."
(Y/n) leads Charlie and Vaggie deeper into the alley until they got to a dead end. They didn't see what (Y/n) has. The thirteen-year-old demoness smirked at them before using her fingers to whistle. Emerging from the shadows were two fox demons. They made happy yipping sounds as they ran towards (Y/n).
"Hi there, my sweet little babies!" (Y/n) opened her arms. The two foxes leaped into her arms as they licked her cheeks. (Y/n) giggles from the ticklish kisses they were giving her. One fox had a bow on her tail while the other had one on her head. Charlie's eyes sparkled at the scenes while Vaggie had a small smile. The two foxes finally noticed Charlie and Vaggie. They leaped from (Y/n)'s arms as they growled and moved closer to Charlie and Vaggie. "Easy, girls. They're friends." (Y/n) petted the foxes. After hearing the okay, the foxes snuggled into (Y/n).
"Charlie, Vaggie, meet Cerise and Garnet." (Y/n) introduced her foxes. She pulled out the meat bag. "I also brought a treat for you, babies!" (Y/n) tossed them a piece of meat each. Charlie and Vaggie continued to watch (Y/n) interact with her foxes. They finally understood why (Y/n) has been leaving the Hotel lately. "Say, (Y/n). How did you find them?" Charlie asked. "It's a long story, Charlie." (Y/n) said as she scratched Cerise's head. Charlie and Vaggie got closer as they sat down. "I think we have time." Vaggie smiled.
