(Y/n) and Alastor continued to follow Terrance to the deepest part of the forest, surprisingly the full moon was able to shine some light for them to see. (Y/n) quickly hid behind some trees when she saw that Terrance paused for a moment. He turns for a moment to see if anyone was behind him. Thinking it was his imagination, he continued to walk on. (Y/n) view Terrance from the trees until she heard a small squeak near her foot. She looked down ad saw where the tiny squeak was coming from. It was a baby bat. (Y/n) scooped up the tiny mammal in her hands. Alastor comes behind and observed the small creature in his apprentice hands.

"So small." Alastor said. "Its just a baby." (Y/n) told. She turns her head to see if she could spotted the mother. Looking above, she spotted the mother bat and she wanted her baby back. (Y/n) held her hands towards the mother bat. "Here, take your baby." The mother bat climbs down the tree and uses her wing to retrieve her baby. They mother and baby stared at (Y/n) for a moment, until the tiny mammal licked (Y/n)'s pinky, as a thank you. Alastor and (Y/n) watched as the mother bat flew away, carrying her baby.

"You know, I read somewhere that bats represents death and rebirth." (Y/n) spoke.

Alastor raised a brow at her. "Oh, really?"

(Y/n) nods. "Yeah, its pretty deep stuff I've read about them."

Alastor nods at her as he lead them back to finding Terrance. They continued their search until they found in. What was surprising that there was an old shack in this part of the forest. They saw Terrance coming out of the shack with a bag in his hand. Alastor and (Y/n) looked at each other first, then nodded. (Y/n) stepped out from the shadows. "Hello, Terrance. Pretty spooky night to be out by yourself, isn't it?" She crossed her arm at him. Terrance narrowed his eyes at her. "You're that useless teen's sister aren't you? What was it, (W/n)?" (Y/n) rolled her eyes at him since he got her name wrong. "It's (Y/n) and I'm here because you bad mouth my big brother. To be honest, I don't take to kindly to people who bad mouth my family." Terrance laughed at her. "Like I give a damn on what you think, kid. Since you're here, I can't let you see what's inside the shack." Terrance pulls out a small knife from his pocket. He was going to attack her, but he raised her hand at him and clutched her hands to a fist. Terrance screams in pain as he lefts go of the knife and held his hand. Terrance glares at (Y/n). He was going to attack her again, but she uses her magic on one of his legs. He cries in pain as one of his arms and legs are broken. Without him noticing, Alastor grabs the bag and takes a peek inside. His eyes widen from what's inside. As Terrance was busy crying in pain, Alastor goes over to (Y/n) and gives her the bag. "There's something in there that you've got to see, my young apprentice." (Y/n) was confused on why Alastor wanted her to see what's inside the bag. She opens the bag and her eyes widen from what's inside.

Poison. Not just any poison, the same poisoned that killed Shannon and Dallas. She was shaking, but not from fear, its anger she is feeling. Terrance looked up and shook in fear when he saw Alastor standing next to (Y/n). She glared at the shaken man. "Why do you have this? Did you made the poison that killed my best friend!!!???" (Y/n) yelled. Terrance remained silent. "Sir, if I were you, I would answer my dear apprentice." Alastor gave the man a wicked smile. Terrance gave them a tired smirk. "Yeah, so what? I made big money off that stuff. The same one with that bitch killing her own family." He lets out a tired chuckle. "That was pretty fucked up, I didn't think she go and kill her own family, but what do I care for. Money is money after all."

(Y/n) had tears streaming down her eyes. She was angry and heartbroken that this man is another reason why her best friend was dead. Alastor saw how angry she was. He kneels down to her level and gives her something in her hand. It was a dagger, she didn't know why, but holding that dagger in her hand felt like she had more power. "You know what to do, my young apprentice." Alastor whispered. (Y/n) nods at him. She uses her magic one more time to break the rest of his arms and legs. Seeing no way for him to escape, (Y/n) walked towards him. She sets her foot on his chest and grabs a hold of his shirt. He saw the dagger in her hand.

"No, no, no, no, please!!! I'm sorry!!! I didn't know she was going to kill your friend and her dad!!!" Terrance beg. (Y/n) shook her head. "You've brought this upon yourself. I'm also doing everyone a favor by getting rid of you." Without giving him a warning, (Y/n) pierced the dagger into his heart. She repeated to stab him over and over again. His blood was splatter all over her, on her clothes and her face. She didn't know how many times she stabbed him, but once she stopped, he was finally dead. She looked at her hands and saw that they were covered in blood. She gets up and goes over to Alastor. "C-Could you make it accidentally with your magic? People in town might be suspicious." (Y/n) was shaken. She never murdered anyone before and now seeing herself covered in blood, she felt like a new different person. Alastor nods and uses his magic to make the scene more accidental. He uses the trees and other thing to make it look like he died in an accident from the forest.

Still curious, (Y/n) went to his shack. She slowly opens the door and gasped at the sight. There was more of the poison everywhere in the shack. Memories played in her head. It was a nightmare playing in her head. (Y/n) at Shannon's funeral, getting bullied at school, and being all alone. She was breathing rapidly, she didn't know what to do. She was having a panic attack. She tried to calm herself until she thought of a spell she recently tried to preform when Alastor was training her.

Wither and decay

End this destiny

Break these earthly chains

And set the spirit free

The spirit free

(Y/n) chants the spell as she placed her hand on the door. She kept on repeating the spell until the door began to rot. Her eyes were turning black as her pupils turned white. Black tears were running down from her eyes. She moved forward and placed her hand to the ground of the shack. Instead of chanting the spell, she began to sing it.

Wither and decay

End this destiny

Break these earthly chains

And set the spirit free

The spirit free

The room was beginning to rot away, she wanted to disappear. Like it never existed. Before she could destroy the whole shack, Alastor placed his hand on his shoulder. She looked over at him. He gives her a soft smile. "Calm yourself, (Y/N)." Listening to him, (Y/n) steadied her breathing and her eyes turned back to normal, but she still cried black tears. Alastor grabs his handkerchief and wipes her eyes dry. "Looks like you've learned a powerful spell, (Y/n)." Alastor said. "Y-Yeah. I didn't know I could do that spell." (Y/n) was still shaken up. Alastor helped her up. "Let's get you back home and cleaned up. We wouldn't want anyone else to find us." (Y/n) nods at him and they went back to her home.

Making sure no one in the house was around, (Y/n) quickly got inside the bathroom with clean clothes. She ran a shower for herself. She would scrub all the blood off as she watched it disappear into the drain. She sighs in relief as she was able to get all the blood out of her skin. While she was in the shower, Alastor used his magic to get the blood stains out from her clothing. (Y/n) comes back to her room, feeling fresh and wearing her pajamas. She uses a small towel to dry her hair. She went to grab her notebook as she sits on her bed. Alastor sits beside her as he watched her crossed out Terrance name out.

"You know, when you said that bats represents death and rebirth. It reminds me of you." Alastor spoke.

"Really? How so?" (Y/n) tilted her head.

"When I first met you, you were just a scared child. Now, you are a confident girl. The old (Y/n) is dead and a new (Y/n) is reborn." Alastor smiled at her

(Y/n) smiled back. "Yeah, I guess you're right."

Alastor help tuck (Y/n) to bed and once she was fast asleep, he goes back to the forest. Once he made it back the scene of the crime, the police were already there. He could hear them saying that the trees must have killed him since it was old and the wind of blowing hard. Alastor could see others were investigating the shack. They took out the rest of the poison that want destroyed for evidence. He smiled knowing that his apprentice has made him more proud of her achievements.

Though she made be done with these revenges, there might be more than she realized of what is yet to come.
