February 14, 1989

It was officially Valentine's Day in the small town of Crypt Hills. Most people were out doing romantic things with their dates. Now at Crypt Hills Middle School, the students are celebrating by giving cards to the ones they want to ask to be their Valentines or giving them to their closest friends.

(Y/n) was with her friends as they were just enjoying each other's company as they passed their cards to each other. To show them how much she's thankful to have friends again, (Y/n) made some cupcakes for them. They thanked her and everyone began to enjoy their delicious treat.

Since (Y/n) has became more confident in herself, lots of boys were beginning to get a crush on her. Though Madeline wasn't going to have it. Every time she would try to do a prank on her, Alastor would be one step ahead. He didn't want to his apprentice to suffer again. He would turn the tables on Madeline, like when she tried to trip (Y/n), Alastor would use his powers to make Madeline lose balance and fall. When being alone together, (Y/n) and Alastor would laugh about how Maddie would feel embarrassed.

Back in the shadows, Alastor continued to keep an eye on (Y/n) as she was chatting with her friends. As (Y/n) continued to talk, she began to noticed that Lily was missing.

"Where's Lily?" (Y/n) asked. Jenny laughed and pointed behind (Y/n). She and the rest of the girls looked and saw where Lily was. She was with a boy. He was giving her a single rose with a card attach to it. Lily smiled at him and kisses him on the cheek. He blushes like crazy and grins at her.

"Awwwwww!!!!" (Y/n) and her friends gushed. "THEY'RE SO CUTE TOGETHER!!!!"

Back in class, everyone was waiting patiently to pass out card to each other. Alastor watches like a hawk at the boys that were beginning to grow very fond of (Y/n). He could see them getting their card ready for her. He didn't mind them giving her a card, as long as they don't try to do any that would ask her to go on a date.

'If these boys think they are worthy of being with my young apprentice, I believe they are wrong.' Alastor said in his mind.

Finally, everyone was given permission to give out their cards. Friends were giving each other cards and treats or some people were giving on card to each person in the class. Not only that, but some kids got some candy grams. Some were from friends while the rest are from secret admirers.

(Y/n) could see that Maddie, Izzy, and Margo didn't get any candy grams. She felt a little joy that her fraternal twin was getting what she deserves. When (Y/n) heard her name being called she went to collect her candy grams. She was surprised that she received 11 candy grams! She knew 5 were from her friends, but the rest said they were from secret admirers. She began to blush about the thought of having secret admirers. One things for sure, she had a small smile on her face. Being careful not to be spotted, Alastor took a peak at the candy grams (Y/n) has received. His eyes widen when he saw the many secret admirers she has gotten. Alastor knew which ones were after his apprentice. He spots them trying to get close to her.

He glares at them. "Those fools are unworthy to be with my young apprentice." Snapping his fingers, the light suddenly turned off. Everyone was startled and confused about the lights turning off. Sneaking his way towards the boys, Alastor would smack one boy on the head or he would shove them towards each other. Thinking it was the next boy to his left, the group of boys began to fight with other. Even though it was dark, they couldn't get a correct beat down. Mostly everyone in the class heard, "Why'd you hit me!?", "Hey, what was that for!?" or "Quit pushing me around!" When Mrs. Honey turned the light back on, everyone saw the boys were collapsed on the floor looking tired and beaten. Later, the boys were taken to the nurses office and they will soon go to the principle's office. Seeing them leave gave Alastor a great satisfaction.

'Seeing that her father won't watch over her, I think its up to me to watch over (Y/n).' Alastor spoke in his mind.

After school, Alastor and (Y/n) were relaxing in her room. "Kind of weird of seeing those boys beaten up, huh?" (Y/n) questioned. "Ha ha ha. What can I say, my dear apprentice. Boys will be boys. Nothing for your pretty little head to worry about." Alastor patted her head. (Y/n) shrugs and went to eat some of her sweet. She offers him one, but he kindly refuses. (Y/n) remember that Alastor isn't too fond of sweet. Suddenly she remembers something else. She quickly leaves to the kitchen to find something she baked. She found what she was looking for and quickly went back to her room. When she returns, Alatsor was puzzled on why she left. From behind her back, she pulls out a bread made of rosemary and sage, along with the handkerchief he used to cover of up wound. "I forgot that you don't like sweet so I made this for you last night. I also washed the handkerchief you used to cover up scrape kneel. Call this a thank you and Valentine's Day gift for you." She hands the item to him. Alastor was surprised at first, but he quickly smiles fondly at her and ruffles her hair. "Thank you kindly, (Y/n). I also have something for you." He snapped his finger and out appeared (fav/candy). "I may not be very fond of sweets, but I don't why not that I shouldn't give an award to my hard working apprentice." Alastor hands her the treat. (Y/n) thanks Alastor and he smiles back at her. Suddenly she heard her phone ringing, she answers. It was Marshal. He explained that he required everything they needed to get Lucy Ross for murder, he just need a little help from (Y/n). They agreed to meet up on Saturday and get everything ready. When she hangs up, she explains to Alastor about what Marshal told her. He happily agrees to the plan. Now all they can do is wait. They continued to relax and eat the treats they have gave each other.

"This Valentine's Day turned out to be just swell, but no one is worthy to be with my apprentice." Alastor said, making sure (Y/n) didn't hear.
