The week went by and everyone was enjoying their Friday afternoon. Well, almost everyone. Jason and (Y/n) had to seek refuge in Jason's room because. Maddie and her friends were in the living room. Jason and (Y/n) would complain about the three of them the house to Rebecca, but their mother just told them to leave them alone and they won't cause any trouble. Listening to reason, Jason and (Y/n) hid in his room while they waited for Isabella and Margaret to leave. The three girls decided they wanted to make the house sound more alive with music. Madeline went to go play with the piano, Isabella would play her recorder, and Margaret volunteered to sing. Jason and (Y/n) heard about their music 'skills' and quickly shut the door. Madeline gets into position as she instructed Isabella and Margaret.
Madeline: The pear-shaped tone
Madeline began to play the piano. She and Isabella were playing their instruments while Margaret sings. Let's just say that it's not a very sweet tone.
Margaret: Oh, sing, sweet nightingale
Sing, sweet nightingale, high above me
Oh, sing, sweet nightingale
Sing, sweet nightingale
Margaret sings off key while Isabella was playing her recorder. All three of them were not playing very well. Alastor's shadow comes out to see what the ruckus. He learned his answer when he hears the three girls playing terribly. He covers his ears and rushes back to Jason's room. Back in Jason's room, Jason and (Y/n) decided to play the song the right way. Alastor was listening to the siblings in the shadows of the room.
(Y/n): High above
Oh, sing, sweet nightingale
Sing, sweet nightingale, high
Oh, sing, sweet nightingale
Sing, sweet nightingale
Jason was strumming his bass in a gentle harmony as his little sister was singing beautiful. Alastor's shadow goes back to Alastor and pointed to the outside of the room. Alastor chuckles quietly when he hears Madeline and her friends trying to play the song right.
Oh, sing, sweet nightingale
Sing, sweet
Oh, sing, sweet nightingale, sing
(Y/n) sings as Jason plays the tone on his bass. They smiled at each other since they finally can do something without Madeline bothering them. Alastor smiled at the siblings have a moment of peace. He closes his eyes as he listened to the song from Jason and (Y/n).
Oh, sing, sweet nightingale
Oh, sing sweet
Oh, sing
As they continued their song the right way, they were suddenly interrupted. Two water balloons splashed on their faces. Making them soak and wet. They turns and saw Madeline with her friends laughing at them.
"Madeline! Margaret! Isabella!" Jason yells. "You bitches!" (Y/n) glares at them. The three laughed before they ran away from them. "I'm going to beat the living crap out of them!" Jason gets up from his seat. "I'll help!" (Y/n) follows Jason. They chased the three girls all over the two story house. Rebecca could hear the loud commotion from the kitchen as she was cooking dinner. She sighs in annoyance, turns the stove off, and went to see why the five of them were fighting this time. Rebecca could see the five children running around well; Madeline, Margaret, and Isabella were running in joy, while Jason and (Y/n) wanted to kill them. To seek safety, Madeline and her friends hid behind Rebecca. Jason and (Y/n) stopped as they glared at the three girls.
Rebecca pinched the bridge of her. "Okay, you all better explain to me what happened."
"Mom! Jason and (Y/n) chased us for no good reason and they cursed at us!" Madeline pulled the fake water works. "Mom! That's not true! They throw water balloons at us!" (Y/n) defended herself and her brother. "Look at us! We're soak and wet!" Jason pointed at they wet clothes. The five kids continued to argue with each other as they tried to justify themselves. Madeline was developing a headache from their argument. "Enough!" Rebecca yells. Everyone went quiet and stared in Rebecca in fear. She gave her children the mom stare.
'Man, that burns!" The three siblings shivered in fear.
"Isabella, Margaret. I think its best that you girls go home." Rebecca said. Isabella and Margaret refused to move. Rebecca turned to them and gave them the mom stare. The two girls shivered in fear. "Unless you want me to call your parents." Rebecca crossed her arms. Isabella and Margaret shook their heads rapidly. "No, ma'am!" They quickly left the house.
Once they were gone, Rebecca turned towards her children. Before she could speak, Madeline hugs her. "Mom! They were so mean to me! You have to punish them." She cried. Rebecca stared at her daughter unamused. "Madeline, I'm not falling for your lies any more, but they're going to be some punishments. So, Jason and (Y/n) you two will be helping me clean the house for the rest of the day." Rebecca said as Madeline had a satisfied smirk on her face.
"But, Mom-!" Rebecca interrupted Jason and (Y/n). She stares at Madeline. "Don't think that you're off the hook, young lady. You're in far worse trouble than them since they pulled that stunt on them." Madeline was scared on what Rebecca was going to do to her. "Grandma and I have been talking about your behavior and we've come to a solution. I think it would be best to send you to a reform school for the summer."
"What!? But, Mom-!" Madeline was cut off by Rebecca. "No, buts young lady. I've made my choice and you're going to that program for the summer."
"Wait, you mean that Maddie is staying at a reform school for the whole summer?" (Y/n) asked with delight. Rebecca nods at her. (Y/n) and Jason cheered in victory. They were thrilled that they won't have to see Madeline for the whole summer. Its a good thing too since summer vacation is close. Madeline was furious about it and left to her room. Rebecca told Jason and (Y/n) to get to their chores as she cooks dinner. She smiled at her children since she knew that they could use a break from Madeline.
Right after dinner, Jason and (Y/n) began to make a list of everything they would do together such as going to the summer carnival, movie nights with Rebecca, ice cream store, water gun fights, etc. This was going to be a great summer and (Y/n) could feel it.
That night before bed, (Y/n) was with Alastor in her room as she was writing her own list to dow with Alastor in her notebook. She filled a page with cooking lessons, magic lesson, music fun, etc. Alastor smiled at the thought of summer fun with his apprentice.
"You know what I love about summer vacation, Alastor?" (Y/n) asked. "Rest and relaxation?" Alastor replied. "That... and no school!" (Y/n) exclaims. She looks through her note book at her list with Alastor and her other list with Jason. "I can't wait for summer vacation." (Y/n) said in glee. She held her wrist close to her as she played with her charm bracelet. "You really like that bracelet, don't you?" Alastor chuckles. (Y/n) nods. "I love this bracelet. I have one charm from Mom, Jason, Jenny, Heather, Rosa, Zoe, Lily, and especially Shannon. She had some from Madeline, Isabella, and Margaret when they used to play together when they were little, but took them off her bracelet when they stopped being friends. Hearing about this gave Alastor an idea. He noticed that (Y/n) passed out on her bed. He chuckles as he covers her up with the blanket.
Hearing about her charm bracelet gave Alastor an idea of what to add to her bracelet.
