✨Chapter 16✨

I wake up sweating, even though, it was freezing in the room. I sit up and look at the window seeing it open, but know that's not what it's from.

"Why is it so fucking cold?" I whisper as I walk over to the window.

As I was about to close it, I see Awsten sitting on one of the chairs, so I sit on the other.

"What's wrong?" I ask as I see he doesn't look good.

"I can't go back to sleep. I woke up because I had a dream about me getting my clothes from her and now I can't sleep." Awsten whispers as he turns to look at me with puffy red eyes.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" I ask softly.

"Maybe." Awsten sighs as he looks out.

"Me and you were in the driveway just sitting there cause I was scared to go in. You finally got me to go in, so I head in. She opens the door smiling and kisses me. I kiss back then I look at you to see you looking so fucking disappointed and hurt, but I didn't care, then we went inside. I grabbed my clothes then I asked her to be my girlfriend again, she said yeah then a guy walked out of her bathroom calling her baby and she started kissing him. As she was kissing him, I started crying and she said "I don't know why you came back, you knew this would happen." I walked out and saw you crying so I ran over to you asking what was wrong then you said "We've been dating for a year and you just kissed your fucking ex! Everything's wrong Awsten!" I kept saying I was sorry, that I wasn't thinking and you broke up with me. I walked home as you sped off in the car then I woke up. I feel like shit, I really like you, but we both know I'm not ready to be in a relationship and I'm really fucking nervous about tomorrow." Awsten sighs as he started bouncing his leg.

"Awsten, I really like you too, but you know I'm not gonna force you into anything you don't want. It's ok to be nervous about tomorrow, but it's gonna be alright and I'll be there if you need anything. I just say shit like we're dating to her because she's a bitch and I know it gets under her skin easy and she'll leave you alone." I say as I grab his hand.

"I know." Awsten whispers not really wanting to talk.

"We should try to go to bed now, it's 2 am." I say as I stand up.

"Yeah, also I turned the air conditioner on cause it was really fucking hot in the room, it felt like hell." Awsten mumbles then yawns.

"I was wondering why it was so cold." I laugh as he chuckles a bit.

We get in the room then I close the window and we lay back in bed. I pull Awsten into me, making him little spoon and he instantly cuddles his back into me. We lay there for a bit then I hear him start snoring quietly as I start falling back to sleep.

✨Time Skip✨

I hear my alarm go off so I grab my phone and shut off the alarm then get up. I slip my shoes on then walk down the stairs, grabbing Lucy's leash as she runs over to the door and jumps at it while I clip the leash on.

"Come on then." I smile at her as we walk out the door.

We walk to the pond and play with the water a bit then head back to the house. We go up to my room and Lucy jumps on the bed then sits on Awsten, making me start silently laughing.

"What the hell?" Awsten mumbles as he rubs his eyes and Lucy licks his face.

"Hey, Lucy!" Awsten baby talks while still half asleep.

"Why is she always sitting on me?" Awsten asks as he starts trying to get out of bed.

"I don't know, maybe you're really comfortable, I like cuddling with you." I shrug as Lucy jumps off of him.
