✨Chapter 23✨

"I'm gonna go check on Bee." I say as I wrap a towel around me and dry off my legs, so the floor doesn't get soaked. 

"Alright, she's been having some nightmares lately, so she might be up." Beckett says with a small frown. 

"Aww, poor, Bella. I'll make sure she's ok." I say with a small smile to make Beckett feel a bit better. 

"Ok." Beckett nods with a soft smile. 

I head inside and up the stairs as Lucy follows. I get to my door, and then hear Bella making some noise I hurry in and see her moving around with tears on her cheeks, making me run over to her. 

"Hey, Bella, wake up!" I whisper yell as I pick her up and sit on my bed, then I lay her in my lap. 

"Bella, Bella?" I whisper as I shake her softly, making her jump awake and cling to me. 

"Aww, baby, are you ok?" I whisper as I pet her hair down and rub her back. 

"Wh-Where's B-Beckett?" Bella asks through sobs as she pets Lucy a bit. 

"He's downstairs. Do you want him?" I ask softly, making her look at me, making my heartbreak at the sight. 

"Y-" Bella gives up on talking as she nods vigorously. 

"Alright, I'll be right back, ok?" I say softly as I move her black hair out of her face. 

Bella shakes her head and hugs me again. 

"Alright, I'll message him." I kiss her head and hold her even closer as I grab my phone. 

I unlock it and pull up Beckett's number. (🐢= Beckett 🌸= Lilly)

Hey Bella had a nightmare and she wants you

I'll be right up

I shut off my phone and rock Bella a bit as I wait for Beckett. After a couple minutes, Beckett comes busting through the door, and Bella jumps in his arms as he stands there. 

"Hey, are you ok, popcorn?" Beckett asks with a smile as Bella giggles. 

"I had a dream about Soda again." Bella says as Beckett wipes her tears. 

"Soda is safe at home, I promise." Beckett holds out his pinky, making Bella wrap hers around his. 

"Do you want me to pick Soda up? We've had him here before, and Jack won't care. He'll just want Bell happy." I say as I boop Bella's nose, making her smile. 

Yeah!" Bella smiles as she sniffles. 

"Alright." I smile as I stand up. 

"I'm just gotta put the TV on for her, so she'll calm down." Beckett says as I nod. 

"Of course, I'll be back in a bit. You can go on my Netflix if you want." I smile as Beckett mouths a 'thank you' seeing as Bella is already watching a Spongbob episode. 

"This is one of my favorites! The jellyfish aliens." I smile as Bella nods. 

"I know, and it's Soda's favorite, too!" Bella grins as I giggle. 

"Ok, I'll be back in a bit." I smile as Bella is sucked back into the episode, then Lucy lays partly on Bella, making her smile. 

I grab an oversized black shirt and some green and black shorts, then I walk out of the room, going into the hallway bathroom to change. I hurry downstairs and slip on my Converse, then I walk up to Jack while he talks with Mom.
