Jerk (A.K)

✨Chapter 2✨

  Note: I don't know Awsten's mom's name so I'm just gonna call her Pam

I awoke to the sound my alarm and was about to hit snooze when I realized it was Monday and the first day of school. So, I drag myself out of bed and get ready to take a shower. Once I get out I blow dry my hair then straighten it, not pin straighten, but not wavy. Then I realize I forgot to pick out my outfit. I head over to my closet and pick out black skinny jeans with rips at the knees, throw on an old 5sos shirt, and my 'not a chuck' high top Converse, then head down stairs. When I step down off the last step, Lucy comes running up to me ready to eat. I go on one knee and start petting her while doing baby talk.

"Awww, hi, Lucy, what are you doing? Huh, you ready to eat?" I ask with a grin as she starts jumping all over and she tries to jump on me.

I stop her since she's a huge German Sheperd.

"Caidance said she can't pick me up today cause she has to go in a bit late!" I yell to Mom as I walk over to Lucy's food bowl in the living room.

As I was feeding Lucy, I seen Pam talking to mom. Pam looks at me, smiles then gets up, and hugs me.

"Look at you, you look so pretty!" Pam grins as I smile and hug her back.

"Thank you, Pam." I giggle as she chuckles.

Me and Pam, Awsten's Mom, were always close, just like my Mom and her. They were always friends, that's how me and Awsten became best friends and grew up together. They know what Awsten did, but I lied and said I forgave him so we could still be close with Pam. She was basically my second Mom, I didn't want to lose her. She stepped back from the hug and just smiled at me.

"I brought over some of your favorites" Pam grins and points at a plate at the island we have in the kitchen.

"Cinnamon muffins?" I ask with a smile as she nods.

"Yes, Lilly, cinnamon muffins, don't think I forgot your favorite." Pam laughs softly as she hands me one making me thank her.

"They are so good, thanks, Pam." I smile as I take a bite.

"I'm glad you like them, but you better hurry if you wanna make it to school on time. I asked Awsten if he would take you. He wasn't so sure about it at first, but I convinced him." Pam smiles wide making me stop eating my muffin.

I feel a worried look crawl onto my face, and I see Mom and Pam stop smiling, noticing the worry. I replaced the look with a smile. I thanked Pam, said my goodbyes, then grabbed my bag and went out the door. I seen him in the car and when he saw me looking he looked away and looked a little nervous, but I don't blame him after I yelled at him. 

"I never want to be near you again and if you try to talk to me again I'll punch you!" Were my exact words.

I feel bad about what I said, but I was pissed. I mean he caused me to break my leg because he pushed me out the window. He said it was half on accident, but half because he liked me and I didn't like him like that. He's apologize multiple times, but I always tell him to stop and now he's my bully because I was still upset about it! The only time he's not an asshole to me is when we're around Mom or Pam. We still have to be around each other on holidays and when my Mom wants to have a pool party with family friends and my best friend, Caidance. It's nice cause me and Caidance just mess around in the pool with Lucy or we hang out in my room, still with Lucy. I still don't like being near him, or riding to school with him for that matter. But I think I'm gonna hear him out this time, if he'll even talk. I jump in the car and get ready for a long awkward car ride to school.

"At least it will only be a 25 minute car ride." I whisper to myself, sarcasm dripping from each word.
