✨Chapter 22✨

I wake up, feeling terror fill my face as part of the dream replays,

⚠️Gore⚠️

I'm running in the woods yelling Awsten name and when I find him my heart drops and I start to cry.

"Awsten! What happened to you?" I cry as I hold him in my arms.

"It's alright, Lilly. I'll be ok, I swear." Awsten smiles weakly as I hold him.

"How?" I say as I cry harder, scared of losing him.

I look at him, his shirt covered in blood and the cuts on his face stopped bleeding minutes ago as the holes in his shirt from the bites of the animal bleed, seeming to never stop.

"I'll be ok, Lilly, I love you." Awsten places a soft kiss against my lips.

"I love you too, Awsten, please hold on the abulance is almost here." I cry Awsten nods slowly as his face scrunches up in pain.

"Please stay." I whisper as the abulance shows up just outside the woods.

"They're here, you're gonna be ok." I say as they walk over to us.

"Yeah." Awsten whispers as they put him on a stretcher and I run with them to the ambulance.

"Are you coming in?" One of the ambulance workers ask.

"Yes." I hurry as I jump in and we speed off.

I start crying quietly then I look next to me to see Awsten right next to me so I hug him and cry into him, trying to hold my sobs down as he starts waking up.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Awsten asks sounding sad as he rubs my back.

"I-" I try to start as sobs rack through me.

"It's alright. I'm here, I'm safe. You're safe, Lucy is safe, the kittens are safe. Everyone is safe." Awsten whispers as he starts petting my head.

I lay there sobbing into him as he sings songs to calm me down and I slowly start calming down.

"Are you ok now?" Awsten asks sweetly as he grabs my hand and intertwines our fingers.

"I think so. What time is it?" I sniffle as he rocks our hands back and forth in the air.

"4 am." Awsten whispers as he kisses my head.

"Me and you were hanging out here like normal..." I start as I lean my head up to look at him.

I tell him my nightmare and by the end I'm crying again as Awsten comforts me.

"I really do love you even if you aren't ready to say it." I whisper as I sniffle here and there.

"I love you too and I mean it, we might have only been together, officially, a few days or so, but even before we were already dating, just without the label." Awsten whispers back then kisses my forehead sweetly.

"You really are the best boyfriend." I chuckle a little as Awsten shakes his head and smiles wide.

"I hope so, I just want you to be happy because you're the best girlfriend." Awsten smiles making me kiss him.

"As cheesy as it is, being with you makes me so happy and I want you to be happy too." I smile softly as Awsten wipes my tears.

"You make me happy too." Awsten whispers then kisses me.
