I made sure to look extra today. I specifically asked a famous signature boutique to send me this dress. Umuwi sila Manang Angge sa kanila kasama si Bebang kaya hindi ko na sila inabala.

I wore an A line white silk long dress that perfectly hugged my body, with long sleeves and plunging neckline  showing more than enough cleavage to draw attention from how conservative the dress looks like. This is by far the boldest plunging dress that I have ever wore.  I ironed my hair straight for a sleek sophisticated look.

I've been feeling that something was off from Elijah since yesterday. Though he was acting like his usual self, he couldn't hide it from me. That he was thinking about his ex.

I kept myself busy as soon as I was dropped by Elijah here in my office. Nag enjoy rin naman ako kasama ang pamilya niya and I didn't want to spoil the moment since everyone was enjoying yesterday.  

Lumabas ako from my offices' powder room. Naabutan ko si Gwen doon.

"How do I look?" I asked her arching a brow.

"Wow how do I say it, the dress looks conservative but bold at the same time. Bagay. You look sexy and sophisticated I wished I have the guts to show that much cleavage Ma'am. Mabuti okay lang kay Sir Elijah?"

"He doesn't really meddle with my dress," sagot ko nalang. Sometimes I'd like to think na nakikialam siya when he wants me to wear his coat in parties or a cardigan but I knew he's just being a gentleman wala naman siyang direct na sinabi na ayaw niya ang suot ko. Natukso na nga akong ipakita ang nightie na sinuot ko kagabi sa kanya pero baka mainsulto lang ako sa magiging reaction niya. Sa tingin ko nga mas gusto niya pa akong naka pajama kasi walang appeal sa kanya iyong katawan ko. "What brings you here?"

"Iiwan ko na iyong final output from megamax. Pwede niyo nang panoorin. The new model was good anyway, yung replacement ng model na nag breach ng contract from them.

Napalunok ako. Good thing the impostor woman didn't pursue that contract. Like hell I would let her anyway. 

"Iwan mo na lang diyan Gwen. I'm just going to review that tomorrow. Elijah called that he's on his way to pick me," sabi ko convincing myself to relax because I had been too uneasy since this morning kahit masarap naman ang tulog ko kagabi. Hindi ko na siya naabutan nang magising ako but I knew he'd slept beside me until morning. I felt his arms.

Gwen smiled. "Okay po, Ma'am. Enjoy po!" she said bago nagpaalam.

As soon as she was out pumasok ako ng pantry to get myself a glass of water. I relaxed myself while looking at the mirror. I knew I look beautiful but why do I always feel so inept right now? Like that woman is a big threat for me?

But I want you to know na gusto kitang pakasalan there's no other reasons beside that...those words yun lang ang pinanghahawakan ko sa ngayon. Honestly, my mind isn't on the wedding anymore, what I wanted was to spend my time with him, to work everything out between us, holding on to a glimmer of hope that he already has something for me too.

I drank the water, calming down bago lumabas ng pantry, in time, Elijah went in from the office. He looks casual with his white buttoned down shirt and jeans which he paired with a signature brown leather shoes.  Casual yet he was still polished while I look too extra with my dress as compared to him.

Nagtama ang mga mata namin, his eyes lingered with mine for a while bago iyon bumaba. I saw his Adam's apple bobbed up and down then it went down to survey my dress, napatingin siya sa dibdib ko. 

He cleared his throat bago inalis ang tingin doon, medyo naningkit lalo ang mga mata. I didn't know if he  mean to look at my chest pero sinadya ko talagang laliman ang uka. This dress is for his ex.
