Dipper's p.o.v.

"And your cough went away too!" She excitedly exclaims as Soos runs of saying "Dude I'm gonna go around and get the truck. Soos away!" "Last one there to the last house is a pair of wax limbs!" My sister shouts as she and her friends run off. (y/n) suddenly hugs me. "Uh...What was that for?"

I ask as she lets go and gives me a warm smile. "A thank you, this has been the best Summerween ever! Despite the Trickster's threat tonight has been so much fun!" She exclaims before hugging me again and running off after my sister. I smile as I watch her go, mission accomplished, I've made this the funniest night for (y/n). I feel my heart swell in happiness as I mutter "I've given (y/n) the best Summerween ever and it's the perfect time to go to Wendy's party and no one needs to know I was trick-or-treating."

I notice a familiar van turning the corner. oh no! Wendy! Quickly I shove the wheelbarrow in the bushes and take off my costume as well as shoving it in the bushes just as the van approached. "Hey Dipper!" "Oh hey Wendy, what's up?" I ask using my foot to shove the last of my costume into the bushes. "Are you comin' to the party?"

Wendy asks me and before I could answer Robbie asks "What are you doing out here?" "Oh um, I'm on my way, I like watching the trick-or-treaters, reminds me of when I was a kid," I answer, my nose sniffling. "Okay then, you're coming right?" "Definitely, definitely," I answer giving her a finger gun "Cool, see you there," Wendy says as they drive off and I give them a wave shouting "Later guys!"

(y/n)'s p.o.v.

Mabel and I had seen the whole exchange between Dipper and Wendy, and our faces dropped as we both came to the same conclusion, he had lied about being sick all because he wanted to go to a party Wendy was going to. He never planned to go trick-or-treating with us and if it weren't for the Trickster he never would've. I felt bad, what was just a moment ago the best night ever turned sour. "You're going to a party?"

Mabel suddenly asks and he quickly turns around to see both of our distraught faces and he tries to explain. "No, I what? Hey, I-" He's cut off by Mabel throwing the last piece of candy in his face. "That's why you were acting so weird and trying to hurry us, you weren't sick at all."

Mabel says as we walk up to him and I ask "So if it wasn't for this crazy monster you were gonna ditch us for a party weren't you?!" "On our favorite holiday!" Mabel chimes when I notice the wheelbarrow wasn't on the sidewalk as Candy and Grenda gasp while Mabel asked: "What happened to the Dipper who used to love Halloween?"

Before he could answer I cross my arms and ask "Dipper where is the candy?" That's when the others noticed it wasn't here and we all glared at him. "Relax, relax! I left it right here behind this bush," He parts the bush aside to show us but what we were met with was a cliff and at the bottom, a river was where the candy was floating away. "What did you do?!" Mabel and I ask in unison as he tries to make an excuse. "Well, I-I-" Grenda inturupts. "Uh, guys..." We all turn around to see the Jack-o-melons were out. "Oh no, all the jack-o-melons are out!" I exclaim in a panic when Dipper shouts:

"Look!" There was one more jack-o-melon lit and Maguget was about to blow it out! We all rush over to him and beg him not to do it. "Eh, what's happening?" "Just don't blow out that candle!" "What?!" "DON'T BLOW OUT THAT CANDLE!" "I'm Old Man Maguget!" He prepares to blow the candle out.

Grenda shoves him and catches the jack-o-melon. He disappears into the junkyard. "That was close," We all let out a sigh in relief, which blew out the candle. "Uh oh."
