Grunkle Stan's p.o.v.

I glare at the annoying pipsqueak sitting in my chair from the lifeguard seat. "Look at him...That smug chair stealing jerk but I can't touch him or the pool patrol will throw me in pool jail hm..." I glance at my golden watch and the glare it had from the sun, an idea striking me. I am the glare at his face. "Yes, yes! Burn the child..." He lifts up a pair of goggles causing the glare to shine in my eyes and I fall in the pool with a shout. "Deal with it."

(y/n)'s p.o.v.

I watch Mabel play Marco Polo with that guy who never left the pool. "Hey," I hear as Dipper walks up and sits next to me. "Hey, I see you got the job," I say, staring at the whistle around his neck. "Oh uh yeah, what are you doing?" He asks a bit nervously and I smile. "Eh, just hanging out." "Alone?" "Well Grunkle Stan's trying to get his chair back, Soos I dunno where he is, Mabel's with that one guy and you and Wendy are on the clock, I don't exactly have that many friends to hang out with," He nods his head staring into the water before looks at me and asks "Hey! Why don't you hang out with me and Wendy, nothing is really happening so we're just messing around, it's gonna be more fun than just sitting there right?"

He was right, hanging out with him and Wendy would be more fun than just sitting here being jealous. "Yeah, sounds fun," I say getting up as we make our way over to Wendy. "(y/n)'s gonna hang with us too," Dipper tells her and she nods "Sure, we're gonna have loads of fun," She spots Soos getting a floatie and grabs the megaphone stating "Watch this," We hide behind the small shed with all the pool supplies as Wendy whispers through the megaphone, loud enough for Soos to hear "Soos..." "Inflatable duck guy? Is that you?"

"Yes Soos, I can talk." "Oh my gosh, I knew you guys were secretly alive, I knew it!" He exclaims, and we start cracking up laughing before we started shushing each other. "My people have been enslaved Soos, you must free us!" "The inflatable pool duck revolution is at hand..." A whistle blows as Mr. Pool-Check drives around in the pool mobile declaring the pool was closed. "Pool's closing! Clear out, everyone!"

Dipper's p.o.v.

We watch in panic as Pool-Check makes his way over as Wendy exclaims "Hide!" We all run off to hide when I hear Pool-Check call me. "Assistant lifeguard!" I stop in my tracks as he pulls up to me. "Have a good night son, lock up the supplies for me," He instructs, taking off his hand to dump a ring of keys in my hands, I lock up the pool supplies with a sigh of relief. "That was a close one," (y/n) mutters as we head our way back to the car.

Mabel's p.o.v.

Mermando and I were brushing each other's hair when we hear the whistle blow, signifying the pool closing. "The pool, she closes, can I see you tonight?" He asks me and I give him a smile asking "Sure! Where? Wanna go for a walk?" He gives me a blank stare as he reminds me "Merman, I am a merman." "Oh right! Then I'll be back tonight," I tell him, facepalming myself before giving him a wave as I got out of the pool.

Later that night I approach the pool in the cart and run up to the fence. I look around to try and find a way over when my eyes land on the pool scooper right next to me. Slipping my hand through the fence I grab it and pull it through the fence and use it to climb over, bending it in the process. I go to the bathroom to quickly change and hop into the water with Mermando, showing him a scrapbook of my family. "Look! Here's a scrapbook of human stuff. Here's me standing with my legs and here I am kicking Dipper in his legs. He couldn't move his legs after that, can you imagine? Not having legs?" I ask him and he gives me a look stating "Let's skip this part," I point to another picture.

"And here's my whole family kickboxing," Mermando sighs before swimming away from me. I swim over to him and grasp his shoulder asking "What's wrong?" He pulled his guitar out of the water and goes to play a chord but the water inside messes it up. He quickly dumps the water out before playing the chord. "I too used to have a family once, back in the ocean," He opens the shell on his necklace to reveal a photo of his family muttering "How I miss them..."
