We all huddle together as a single street light turns on and the Trickster walks into it. "Knock, knock," He stated and Grenda dropped the melon as we started to back up. "So children, where's my candy?" "I swear we had all 500 pieces look! It's down there somewhere, we can still get it!" Dipper explains and we nervously nod. The Trickster grows larger as he took the form of a spider. "I'm afraid it's too late! That was your last chance!"

Dipper takes a piece of candy out of his pocket and throws it in the Trickster's face. He absorbs the candy with a laugh. "Go, go, go, go!" We start to run, one by one all of us were being picked up when I tripped and the Trickster started dragging me across the pavement. I let out a shriek, causing Dipper to stop and turn around. "(y/n)!" He was picked up along with Mabel when suddenly a truck came barreling through the monster.

"We're alive!" Grenda shouts happily as the truck backs up to reveal Soos as he asks "That wasn't like a regular pedestrian was is it?" We all shake our head no in excitement as Mabel told him. "It was the monster!" "Thanks, Soos, I'm just glad it's over right?" Dipper exclaims with a sigh of relief when he notices Mabel's and mine's unhappy faces and got in the truck without a word. Grenda, Candy, and Mabel sat in the back while Dipper, and I sat in the front with Soos. "Did everyone remember to put on their seatbelts?"

Soos asks and Grenda, Candy, and Dipper responded in unison "Yes," While Mabel grumbled a yes. I still hadn't said anything and all eyes turn to me. I give a nod, unaware of the worried look Dipper was giving me. I pull up my sleeve and look at my elbow, when the Trickster had dragged me, my elbow was scrapped. I rubbed it to subside some of the pain when Dipper notices the bruise asking:

"Hey, are you ok?" I continue to give him the silent treatment, and look out the window. "There's probably some bandages back at the shack," He tries again to no avail. "Uh...Guys..." Mabel says, peeking out the window and we all look back to see the Trickster reforming. He hopped on the top of the truck and we swerved, soon crashing into the Summerween store.

"Brakes! Brakes! Brakes!" Quickly we get out of the truck and run further into the store as the Trickster followed us. "We have to hide!" We peek out to see it was blocking the only exit. Mabel, Dipper, and I hide in the same cupboard as Candy and Grenda hid in the one across from us, Soos hiding in the costume racks. "Everyone stay quiet!" Dipper whisper shouts as Mabel and I roll our eyes, Mabel whispering "Oh now you're worried about the monster. I thought all you cared about was Wendy."

Dipper gives us a look of disbelief. "Mabel you know that's not true, I just...Felt like I was getting a little too old to go trick-or-treating." "That's exactly why we need to go trick-or-treating Dipper, we're getting older, there's not that many Halloweens left...I guess I didn't realize it was already our last one..." Mabel trails off and I chime in. "And here I thought for once you'd actually willing hang out with us on a fun event, guess not, why do you always do this?"

I ask and Dipper gives me a confused look as he asked "Do what?" "Try to do something else instead of living in the moment with what's in front of you with your friends." "I don't do that...Do I?" He asks nervously as I nod and list off all the times he's done this. "Fishing Season, instead of trying our way of fishing you wanted to hunt the Gobblewonker, instead of just enjoying the party you had to have the perfect plan, instead of enjoying the fair you had to go back and time and not mess up in front of Wendy and finally now: Instead of going trick-or-treating with your friends you wanna go to some stupid party. Anytime there's some event, you go and try doing something else, and when you're finally dragged into doing the event you seem to have the time of your life. Why do you do this? It's not fun to drag you into the events so I can enjoy them with my best friends and so you can experience something amazing this town offers..."

Dipper's p.o.v.

My eyes widen and realization and I fall silent, they were both right, there weren't that many Halloween's left for us trick-or-treat and I do try to run off a lot...I inwardly sigh in disappointment in myself. Even worse I knew that those events were the first time (y/n) actually got to enjoy them and all she wanted was to experience them with her friends...Why do I do this? I always fight to do something else but whenever I finally relent to the even I always enjoy myself which led to my feelings for...I glance at (y/n) who was staring at the ground. I can't keep doing this before I lose both my best friend and my sister and I can't fathom losing either of them to my stupidity.

The Trickster lets out a shriek. "We have to escape," Candy points out and Grenda asks "What if it sees us?" "If only there was something we could use to cover our bodies and faces with, you know like a disguise of some kinds, Soos says, rubbing his chin in thought. We grab a few costumes and put them on, soon acting as merchandise.

Once the Trickster moves past us we moved to the next aisle where he rounded the corner. Once he walked further into the store we all started to creep toward the exit when..."Soos!" I shout when we notice he wasn't in the group, we spot him where the skulls in a bowl were. "Stop!" I shout as we all press our backs against the counter. "Soos don't you dare," Mabel warns him.
