Carpet Diem: Part 6

Mabel's p.o.v.

The two crash in and everyone switches bodies once again. Everyone stars fighting and shouting for their body to be returned it became a body switching fest. Eventually we all stopped to figure this out. "Cool! I'm Santa Claus!" "Whoo eee! I've regained my innocence!" "Well I guess I'm a pig now so that's a thing." "This body's not that different from my old one," Everyone started commenting on the body they had when Officer Blubs and Deputy Durland walked in.

"We've got some reports of excessive giggling," More body swapping. "My horoscope didn't say anything about this..." "What's happening to me?!" Durland who was in Dipper's body starts slamming himself into the wall.

Candy was in Blubs body while Grenda was in Durland's. Candy looks in the mirror and gushes. "I am a police officer now!" "Let's go bust some purps Candy," Dipper who was in Waddles body chases after me shouting "Give me that key Mabel!" "Never!" I shout as I bump into more people and body swaps continue.

(y/n)'s p.o.v.

I had ended up in Grenda's body and I watch as everyone continues to fight. Letting out a sigh, I grab Blubs and Candy, switching their bodies, Candy was now in Maguget's. Grabbing Grenda, I switch her with Durland, Grenda was now in Dipper's. I grab Maguget and switch him with Candy. I switch with Grenda, now I was in Dipper's body. I grab Dipper and swap with him, then Mabel who was in mine and finally her and Soos.

"There. Everyone except Soos should be back in their own body," I state looking around as everyone nods. "And I've got the key!" Dipper announces and the two race out of the room, I follow after them into the attic and watch from the door as the two fought. "Mabel the room is mine!" She takes the key. "Give it to me!" They tumble around the room when Mabel asks before I could step in. "What's with you? Why do you need that room so bad? I never even wanted to move out!" "Me either!" "Wait what?" Mabel and I ask in unison and Dipper explains. "I...I never wanted to move out." "Then what was all this?" Mabel asks before I could.

"Everything was fine until you started bringing your friends around every night. I mean hanging out with you and (y/n) this Summer has been fun but now you're always with Candy and Grenda and (y/n) and I are just like...Left behind. As much as we enjoy spending time together we want to spend time with you too," Dipper admits and Mabel looks at me as I nod in agreement. "Aw, Dipper..." "It's ok, I've just been having a hard time, you wouldn't understand what I'm going through."

"You're probably feeling awkward and sweaty huh?" Mabel says and he nods asking "Yeah, how'd you know?" Well she did spend the entire day in your body so... "Here, I won't fight you for it," Mabel tells him, tossing him the key. I smile at the two, happy that they were finally solving their problems together so I don't have to be the mediator.

Dipper's p.o.v.

We go back downstairs to check on everyone. "Well it looks like everyone's back to normal except for Soos who may be a pig permentally?" My sister questions as we look at Soos's body which was chewing on the door frame. "Oh no, I changed back, at least I think I did," He tells when Maguget looms over him. "I'll still eat 'ya..." We start to shove him out of the house.

Once everyone left I started gathering up my things and moved into the new room. "Ah, a man in his own space," Grunkle Stan say as he walked into the room and looked around. "That's right! Finally." "So what are you gonna do with this ol' thing?" He asked, pointing at the rolled up carpet that was leaning on the door.

"Get rid off it," I quickly say and he chuckles in agreement. "You got it! Yeesh this carpet's ugly," I tuck myself in for bed and turn to the right saying "Finally my own room. Goodnight Mabel goodnight (y/n)," I then frown as it dawns on me that I was in my own room now they weren't here to say goodnight too and I started to miss rooming with them.

Mabel's p.o.v.

I tuck myself into the bed and turn to my left stating "Goodnight (y/n), goodnight Dipper." "Night Mabel, night Dipper," (y/n) responds we both turn to where Dipper used to sleep with a frown, it didn't feel right without him here. Suddenly we heard a knock at the door. Opening the door we peer out to see Dipper with a nervous smile. "Hey um...Do you wanna have a sleepover?" (y/n) and I smile to each other as we let him in. I quickly grab my golf club shouting "Four!" I putt an eyeball at the door. Dipper and (y/n) pick up their clubs and take a swing. Dipper's bounces around the room, while (y/n)'s shattered through the window and hit Stan as he shouted "Ow! Why am I even out here at night?!" We burst out laughing.

The next day we were playing mini golf again after Dipper moved back in as I asked "So are you gonna do with that new room?" "I gave it to Soos to replace that horrible break room he has. Hey, do you know what the deal was with that lady?" I shrug and we look at (y/n) who answers "I think she's his girlfriend but...I dunno."
