We finally arrived to the estate. I laid my eyes on the large house that I had grown up in, it was a two story house in the middle of the richest street of Mitras, I stood in front of the house for a second, feeling the refreshing breeze through my hair. There was a man waiting for our arrival, he paced quickly to grab my suitcases. I turned to Levi.
He was standing right next to me, looking up at the massive house.
"You never told me you lived in a palace" His tone was slightly sarcastic.
I laughed and ignored him, "Come on"
I walked over to the entrance, Levi followed.
I opened the door and walked inside, I glanced back at Levi, he was detailing every single aspect of the house. The floors, the chandeliers, the paintings, he looked like a curious child inspecting a new environment.
"I'll go inform your father that you've arrived" The man quickly ran upstairs.
I watched him as he ran, "I wonder if he is a new housekeeper, I don't recognize him"
Levi was too busy looking around the new room we found ourselves in, my living room was grand, with three comfortable gold plated couches in the center. Decorated with fresh flowers every week, the room was colorful and bright.
I looked at him as he stared at the flowers, his eyes filled with wonder.
My heart ached a bit, I wanted him to be showered with comfort and riches, his life had been tough since he was a child, he didn't deserve that. He deserved much more.
"My sweet daughter!" My father walked in the room with his hands up in the air.
I snapped out of my thoughts and turned to him, I ran up to him and hugged him tightly. He was laughing loudly and squeezing me.
"I missed you so much" I said.
He pulled back and suddenly turned to Levi.
Levi looked at me for a split second and then turned to my father, he approached with vast formality.
"I am Levi Ackerman sir" He adjusted his posture.
My father reached out for a handshake, with a puzzled look on his face, "Aleo Pfeiffer...pleasure to meet you"
My father turned to me seemingly confused.
"H-he is here for the Midsummer Ball" I smiled nervously.
My father locked eyes with me for a few seconds and didn't say anything, he then turned to Levi again.
"Levi Ackerman...I've heard your name before" My father gave no indication of tone to his statement and then turned away from us.
"Faud please make sure to get the guest room ready" He yelled into the hallway.
He gave us a quick look again and then signaled us to wait with his hand. He then disappeared into the hallway.
I looked over at Levi, who was standing up extremely tense.
"The guest room has very comfortable pillows" I tried to fill up the silence.
He stared at me looking annoyed, he was about to say something when my father walked in again.
"Levi, Faud will show you to the guest room" He signaled to the man who attended us earlier.
Levi remained quiet and followed Faud.
My father closed the doors slowly and turned to me equally as slowly.
