Hange had asked me to attend another meeting about some important business, luckily, this time she warned me that Levi would be there. I didn't bother to show that I cared, as I saw that Hange was more stressed than ever before. I didn't want to stress her out more, so I simply told her that I was fine with it and that I no longer minded.

I lied though, while walking to the meeting, I felt my heartbeat increasing with every step.

Calm down Y/n, I'm sure this time it won't be as awkward as the last time, I mean yeah the last time we saw each other he was very...very angry...but it was just cause of Floch, and now Floch isn't around to cause any trouble, so everything will go down smoothly right?

I sighed.

Maybe I should just pretend that nothing happened between us at all. Maybe if I act super casual he will too, and then nobody will suspect that I am absolutely losing my mind over this.

I stepped into the room, I quickly looked around but it seemed like I had gotten there earlier than Levi. I sat down next to Hange, and thankfully in front of me Armin had already taken the seat.

"Hmph" Hange raised her hand to her mouth, covering up a small chuckle.

"What are you laughing at?" I took my jacket off and got comfortable.

"You're probably so relieved Levi isn't here huh..." She smirked.

My face immediately got bright red, "What?!"

Armin laughed aswell, prompting Hange to let a loud laugh that she had been containing inside come out from her.

"You too Armin? I can't believe you guys, laughing at my misery" I crossed my arms and looked down in shame. "Hange I told you I didn't care anymore!"

"And you expect me to believe that? You came in the room already with your jaw clenched a- and is that perfume you're wearing? When have you ever worn perfume to a meeting before?" Hange exploded with laughter once again.

"Hange if you-"

"Captain!" Hange jumped out of her seat, "I'm glad you could make it on time!"

I turned around and saw Levi walking in.

Ugh, his hair looks good today.

I looked back at Armin, who still had a residual smile on his face. I squinted my eyes at him, making him playfully turn his expression into a hyper serious one.

This made me feel better, it seemed like him and Hange were more stressed out than ever before, so seeing them be playful this way warmed my heart a little, even if it was completely at my expense.

The meeting started, I did not look at Levi again, nor did I feel his stare. I genuinely was paying attention to what was said, but didn't chime in at all this time.

"We are thinking..." Hange looked over at Levi. "We need more people to work on the maintenance of the airship, do you think we could get some scouts to do that?"

Levi thought for a second, "I do have a group that could be good for the job"

"Do you think it would be something they'd be ready to do? I mean they did just finish the railroads, should we perhaps give this job to the military police? Do you think they would be too exhausted?" Hange rubbed her chin.

"Exhausted?" Levi repeated her words.

"Yeah I mean, how is their morale?" Hange questioned.

"Their morale? I don't know, why don't you ask other people in here who might be more acquainted with them personally...Y/N?"
