The monarchy was overthrown.Around a month had passed since the female titan destroyed my home. My father was found two weeks ago, buried under debris.
He wasn't able to make it.
The pain that I felt from losing the person that I loved the most in my life was almost unbearable, I slept at my mother's house for the time being, since my home was destroyed.
I was told that my father had passed down all his riches to me, at first I was sure that I would just be running his position as a financial manager for the royals but now the monarchy was overthrown. Levi kept me in the know the whole time as to what they were doing, how they found out that Historia was the true heir and how from now on the plan was to have her rule.
The whole month was chaos for the scouts, they were being persecuted to no end, Historia becoming the queen meant that they were now free to operate back to normal. I was relieved that they weren't seen as criminals anymore, instead, I sensed that the public, although very scared of what was to come, had some faith in Historia and the scouts now.
Levi told me that because of the increase in a public good image, a lot of people were actually enlisting to become scouts. It seemed like things were getting better yet I still could tell that Levi was incredibly anxious, as if he knew that the future held something...far scarier.

I bought a new house, it was smaller than my father's house. It was in the outskirts of Mitras, in a small patch of forest that I thought would be secluded enough. The house was cozy, I started gardening a lot and reading in my free time. I also started raising two horses, Sawney and Beane.
I named them after Hange's titans, it was sort of an homage to them, as dark as that sounded. Hange approved of this, as when I ran the idea through her she almost cried and made it seem like it was a huge gesture.
Levi tried to come by as much as possible, even though he was incredibly busy with the scouts, I completely understood that. But I appreciated greatly how much he was trying.
He came to visit today, bringing bread and milk for me.
"It is very nice of you to bring this but you don't have to" I let him in.
"I saved you a trip to the village" He dropped the things off in the kitchen.
I waited for him in my living room, I sat on the sofa and picked my feet up. I sat comfortably with my legs buried underneath me.
Levi walked over to the sofa, he sat and sighed seeming very tired.
"What's on your mind?" I asked him preoccupied with his state.
He seemed to have taken a moment, "They're entrusting me with the serum"
I raised my eyebrows, remembering immediately the serum he was talking about. Levi was going through a lot, an altercation between him and Kenny occurred before Historia was crowned queen. Kenny gave him a serum that could turn people into titans.
I knew of the serum, but now knowing that they were going to entrust the serum to Levi I couldn't imagine Levi being ok with bearing such a heavy responsibility.
"What will you do with it?" I asked him.
"I don't know...things are more complicated lately" He said while he stared at the ceiling.
"What do you mean?"
"I'm not sure" He was deep in thought.
I could sense that he had a lot on his mind, yet I felt that it would be best for me not to pry on it.
