The people in the room made way for me and I advanced in front of Commander Erwin.

"Pleased to meet you" I smiled at him. "Im sure you have been briefed on what I will be doing here, I'll try to intrude in any other matters as least as possible"

"I was told you'd be staying in the grounds indefinitely, so please make yourself comfortable, if you need anything I am at your disposition"

He shifted his gaze to the other people in the room who I had not yet greeted.

"This is Hange Zoë and Levi Ackerman, two notable Captains, they will be also available for any necessities you have"

I turned to them, the lady Hange immediately jumped closer to me making me jump from the sudden movement. She was smiling enthusiastically.

"If you need anything I'll be close by, I'll be showing you to your room right now" she grabbed both of my bags ready to guide me to my room.

This lady seemed way more chivalrous than the two men who escorted me here...

I turned to the man who was next to her, expecting to be greeted with the same amount of enthusiasm.

I directly looked at him. His expression was blank, almost as if he was annoyed with me for simply being in front of him. He was staring at me back yet he didn't say a word to me.

He had a relaxed stance, not that of a soldier, but that of a man who simply wasn't amused. His dark hair was parted in the middle, it perfectly framed his face. His eyes were a light shade of blue, almost gray, they looked sad and tired and annoyed. He seemed short in height, which surprised me, I didn't know soldiers could be so short. I didn't tower over him, but he surely didn't tower over me.

In a few seconds I had scanned every single aspect of his appearance, confused as to why he didn't even bother to direct a single word at me. Confused as to why he looked so annoyed by me. I was intrigued.

I shifted my eyes at Hange Zoë, who was waiting for me at the door. I turned around to say goodbye to Commander Erwin and ignored the grumpy man next to me.

I walked out of the office and was now walking side to side with Hange.

"Oh I hope you like your room, it's directly next to mine" She exclaimed with excitement. "Im serious, if you need anything I'll try my best to be of assistance"

Her enthusiastic nature made me giggle, "Captain Zoë, thank you for your kindness"

"Oh please, call me Hange. I don't like to be too formal" she laughed. "Will you start your inspection today?"

"No, I just want to get acquainted with the environment today, specially after the long trip"

She nodded, "I understand that, you can unpack today and rest, dinner is at 6 though don't miss out"

"Oh good, Im already looking forward to it" I shook my arms in anticipation.

We arrived to my new room. It was a lot smaller than my room back in the Capital, it was completely empty and just had a small white bed placed on a corner. There was a window next to the bed, with sheer white curtains. I could also see a door which I assumed was the bathroom.

I cringed a little at the sight, having to live in these four walls for a long period of time made me a little bit uncomfortable. I was already missing my large comfortable bed.

"Thank you for carrying my bags Hange, I will see you during dinner" I took the bags off her hand and smiled sweetly at her.

She nodded and closed the door behind her gently.
