"So, let me get this straight," Nixon said.

Kaiden, Lakin, and Paxton looked at him.

"That never gets old." Nixon snickered.

"Did the doctor give you drugs?" Nathan asked Nixon.

"Not the kind that would help." Nixon shrugged.

"It's not that we don't want to help you, but we don't," Nathan said.

Noah and Nolan agreed.

"We understand you don't want to help us," I said.

"Oh, hell no," Markus said.

"Excuse you," Nathan and Noah said.

"Well, I was interrupting, but I decided against it," Markus said.

I shook my head.

"Before everyone gets their shorts in a bunch, some backstory would help," Nixon said.

Markus looked at me as I looked at the ceiling.

"I'm not getting younger and will meet my demise soon. Could you speed this up?" Nixon asked.

We looked at Nixon, and he shrugged.

"Before the backstory, where's Mason and company?" Kain asked.

"They're with Nana," I said.

"Good luck, Mason and company," Kaiden said.

"Yo, Frick, and Frack, can we return to the matter at hand? I have limited time," Nixon said.

I find it disturbing how Nixon is so casual about death.  I shook my head.

"I went to school with Don Wilson. He wanted Sadie and wouldn't leave her alone. So, I broke his nose," I said.

Everyone did a double-take.

"Wait. What?" Dad asked.

"Don harassed Sadie because she liked me," I said.

"Okay, let's see if I understand this animosity," Payton said. "Don Wilson was jealous because you dated a girl who wanted nothing to do with him. Is this guy delusional?"

"It seems like it," I said.

"Well, I want his head on a silver platter. He went after my family," Luna said.

"Calm down," Major said.

"No, I won't calm down. That tool tried to kill my child and grandchild," Luna said.

"Well, you have bigger issues than Don Wilson," Kaxon said.

"What issue?" Kain asked.

"Skylar and Jesse's dad is pissed. His family is ready to string up Don Wilson and beat him," Kaxon said.

"Well, shit," Kain said.

"Unless we take care of Don Wilson," Parker said with a look we knew well.

We came up with a plan to handle Don Wilson. We were expecting someone to take matters into their own hands.
